Where do you place the trees? And how many can they be planted?
It depends on your taste. If you prefer a regular garden, that is, straight paths, planting in rows, which, of course, greatly facilitates the care of plants, then place the trees along the boundaries of the site, retreating, as expected, from the neighboring by 3-4 m. Over time, the trees will grow and can cover their shrubs with their shade, but this is not terrible, because both raspberry and black currant penumbra are tolerated without problems. If fruit trees you prefer purely decorative, then regular planning for them is not acceptable.
The regular location of the garden will immediately dictate to you and its decoration. It is clear that along the row of trees there must pass a central, through, straight path that runs no closer than 2 m from the tree trunk. In addition, it should have a width sufficient to travel the trolley, that is, at least 75 cm. And then there is nothing else left, like planting along it perennial rhizome flowers, usually called perennials. It is a herbaceous plant, the aerial part of which dies in the autumn and resumes in the spring. They do not include bulbous plants and half-shrubs with lignified shoots.
Do not too clutter your plot with ornamental and fruit-berry plants. The principle is the same: less is better, but better. Well-groomed flowers everywhere and always look wonderful, you should just remember that plants that lose their decorative after flowering, should be covered with those in which the greens retain decorativeness and after flowering. Then the flower beds will not lose their attractiveness during the whole summer.
You can create a flower from one row of flowers of one or two or three species, for example, from one row of peonies. Or from a series of pions interrupted at regular intervals by groups of lilies. About this strawberry, which also feels good on the soil with a neutral reaction, although it prefers a weakly acidic, will have to be taken care of separately. Bushes should be divided and planted every three years, otherwise it will fail.
If you make a selection along a row of berry or ornamental shrubs, then in books such a mixed planting of rows of bushes and perennials is called a mixborder. Mixborders in the garden area are best located along the fence or along the border with the neighboring site. Virtually all plants mentioned in this kit need about the same soil, besides all are relatively hygrophilous, and therefore care for them will be approximately the same.
Along the path, it will be natural to place the so-called discount. It's just perennials( and annuals, too), planted in slender rows, like soldiers in a line. But at the same time it would be good to break the geometric monotony with the suddenly located individual flowers curtains.
Often perennials( as well as annuals) are planted by a whole group - a curtain - or decorated in the form of flower beds of different geometric shapes. Such planting must necessarily be edged with a curb, or a stone, or a path, laid around them to separate them from the lawn. In flowerbeds, the tallest plants should be located in the center, then to the periphery of the flowerbed, all low-growth plants should be planted, and soil cover, that is, the lowest ones, should be located at the very edge. Plants should be chosen so that the flower bed looks beautiful from all sides and some flowering plants are replaced by others all summer. Just do not overdo it - funny and ridiculously look on a small plot too bulky beds.
In recent years, the planting of monotonous curtains or flower beds has become fashionable. They planted plants of different species, but about the same color. They are picked up so that the plants bloom all summer, replacing each other. Such monochrome plantings look very elegant.
Often flowerbeds or flower curtains are decorated with stones. It is already rocky slides, or rockeries. In principle, any plants can be planted on them, but sometimes a stony hill is formed by small bushes of low perennials, early onion flowers, stunted coniferous plants, giving a rocky hill a natural appearance. There is still such a thing as a front garden - this is a flower garden in front of the house, it is created for show, so it should be especially well groomed. Or, it is necessary to plant flowers in the front garden, but decorative shrubs, or ferns, or coniferous plants, so that they do not require large care. Have planted - and all. While small, it is necessary, of course, to weed and water. But then there will be no troubles and worries. You can also place a rocky hill in the front garden. So, for example, it is customary to do in the Baltics.
With any methods of planting perennials, it is necessary to provide passageways between the plantations in order not to trample down the soil. On a rocky hill you can put flat stones, which are convenient to attack. The same can be done among the flower beds. If there are no stones for the flowerbed, then put the tiles or make special "traces" yourself. To do this, stir the cement with sand in a proportion of 1: 3 and dilute it all with water until the density of sour cream. Then pour into molds and hold for three days in the shade, from time to time moistening the pouring with water. Then turn the shape over, take out the impression and let it dry for another week. Forms can be used many times. Very suitable for this plastic packaging for cakes, cookies and so on, size and shape suitable for foot.
