Probably, many people experienced such symptoms: weakness and weakness, strong and persistent sore throat, which are worse when swallowing, and also high fever.
These are all the characteristic signs of such a common disease as angina or speaking differently: acute tonsillitis.
In the main role of pathogens are - streptococci, viruses and other bacteria. Depending on the type of virus that caused angina will depend on the methods of treatment and symptomatology.
In total, four forms of acute tonsillitis are distinguished in medical practice: catarrhal, follicular, lacunary and phlegmonous, which we shall consider below.
Classification
Catarrhal angina is referred to as a mild course of the disease. Characteristic features of this form include the involvement of tonsils and flushing( swelling) of the palatine arch. The acute phase of the disease begins with inessential pain in the throat.
Feelings of swallowing in the pharynx with the presence of a foreign body may appear, dryness. Malaise and a state of weakness will be accompanied by chills. The lymph nodes of the neck and jaw become painful and swollen.
Sore throat gradually increases during swallowing. The temperature is subfebrile and usually does not exceed 38 ° C.The disease lasts 3-5 days. If it is impossible to normalize the temperature and the general condition, there is the danger of a complicated process.
Angina photo, depending on the type:
Angina, the symptoms of which are more pronounced in lacunar or follicular angina. Usually these species are not demarcated due to certain difficulties, and this does not require the practice of clinicians. Symptoms will depend on the general condition of the organism intoxication. The appearance of severe pain in the larynx, unpleasant sensations in the lower back, weakness and headache with a temperature of 39-40 ° C.
The examination using pharyngoscopy shows a sharp hyperemia with the infiltration of the mucous membrane of the throat and the swelling of the tonsils. On the surface of the tonsils in the case of follicular angina there are inflamed follicles with rounded forms and a yellowish-white hue.
Lacunar angina is characterized by the appearance of yellowish white raids in gaps( necks) that merge. On average, the disease lasts about a week.

Symptoms of angina: the first signs in adults
The human body consists of a number of organs and tissues. To ensure their normal functioning, the venous and arterial system of blood vessels is involved.
In addition to them, the body has a lymphatic system with interstitial fluid lymph. It is the tonsils that contain the largest amount of lymph collected and are most prone to a purulent inflammatory process.
The reaction of these lymph nodes to inflammation is strongly pronounced in the lymphadenoid tissue of the pharynx.
The incubation period from the onset of infection to the onset of of the first symptoms of angina in adults is about two days. The occurrence of chills with a duration of 15-60 minutes followed by a fever already means the appearance of the disease.
The acute phase of sore throat begins with an increase in temperature. The initial stage is very acute. Signs of intoxication are manifested in sweating, weakness, loss of appetite and headache. The tonsils with a characteristic reddening and plaque formation sharply increase in sizes. Pain in the throat does not allow you to swallow normally. Lymph nodes located under the ear and lower jaw increase with the manifestation of soreness.
A dull headache will last for about 1-2 days and lead to a serious sleep disorder. The pain from swallowing gradually increases. On day 3, the disease acquires a pronounced coloration with the inability to take food and water, it is difficult to swallow saliva.
By examining the nasopharynx and palpation, it is possible to clearly identify the reddening of soft palate and tonsil areas, as well as the soreness of the lymph nodes. A simple form of the disease does not cause difficulties with opening the mouth. The danger of the appearance of angina is an increase in body temperature up to 40 ° C.

Complications of sore throat
As a rule, engaging in ineffective self-treatment and refusing to consult a specialist leads to serious complications. There are 2 groups of complications.
Among the most dangerous is the general group of the real threat to life and serious damage to internal organs. This dangerous group includes lesions of the kidneys, infection of the cranial cavity with subsequent meningitis( inflammation of the brain envelopes), rheumatism, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. In the case of the worst case, deep blood contamination( sepsis) and death are considered.
Another group of complications can be: acute laryngitis, phlegmon of the neck, parapharyngeal space abscess, cervical lymphadenitis, laryngeal edema, parotitis. This is due to closely located organs.
