How to teach a child how to turn over
Your baby is growing, and now he is 6 months old. As a rule, by this time, the little man is already actively stirring, independently and deftly turns. But not all babies manage to deftly turn over from the back to the stomach and back. One of the mothers will say: "His time will come. Itself will learn. Why rush time? "
Of course, hurry the child is not worth it. But notice how your baby moves, does it try? And, maybe, he moves, trying to turn over, but it does not work? And, maybe, the kid does not want to move at all, he just lies, and he feels so well in this position?
Well, then the mother should arm herself with knowledge and help her little one overcome the first test in his life. After all, up to six months, the baby must already deftly move, turning from back to belly and back.
So do not waste time and opportunity to help our baby! After all, he is interested in knowing the surrounding space, and we will help support this aspiration.
There is a small set of exercises for the proper development of the child's ability to turn over. Performing these exercises every day for 3 minutes, you will notice the result.
Exercises for turning the child from the back to the stomach
So, first you need to place the baby on a flat and firm surface, so it will be more convenient for him to learn how to turn over. And active floundering on a soft blanket will not lead to the desired results.
First Exercise
Place the baby in front of you. Grasp one hand with the left leg of the baby in the shin area, bend it in the knee and hip joint. So we prepare the child for action. Now get the leg in the opposite direction. Observe the reaction of the baby for a few seconds.
This position of the child stimulates him to raise his head and turn. And now do the same with the right foot, but with the turn in the other direction. And just observe the reaction of the baby. It is very good if the child, when turning the lower part of the body tries to turn the whole body in this direction. At the same time, his movements are not passive.
If the child does not have enough strength to turn the upper body, help him. Hold out your hand to him, let him grab your finger and he( !) Will try to turn around. This exercise should be done three to four times with a turn in each direction.
Council : interest the child with his favorite bright toy at the time of this exercise. Put it on the side where you turn the child. He will be interested to turn to his favorite toy, so the result of the exercise will be faster. And be sure to talk with the baby, praise him. He must hear your voice.
Second exercise
Carefully roll your baby in all directions. He should like it. Do this exercise more than once. And, as a result, in the future your baby will be able to roll over on his own. And then on the stomach.
Third exercise
Put the child on his side, and stand up for him. Place your arms in such a way that elbows rest against the surface on which the child lies. Cross your hands in the castle. Thus, your hands create a certain barrier for the child, which prevents him from turning over on his back. You can gently push the baby, stimulating him to a coup on his stomach.
By the way, this exercise helps the child learn to stabilize the situation on his side. And do not forget to put his favorite toy so that the child can freely see it. The result will not take long. The child, swaying, will necessarily turn over on a stomach, having extended the handle forward.
And now do the same thing by turning the child to the other side. Repeat this exercise two or three times.
Fourth Exercise
Lay the child on its side. Place one hand on the child's shoulder and the other on the hip joint area. Fix the position of the arm in the shoulder area, and the other push forward the pelvic area of the child. Thus, we create resistance to the body of the child when moving its lower part of the body.
And now do the opposite: fix the hand on the lower part of the child's body, and the other as it were, push the child's shoulder, showing him where to turn. Do the same by turning the child over to the other side.
This exercise very well fixes the child's motor skills, which contributes to a quick and deft coup from the back to the abdomen.
As a rule, mothers choose one or two exercises from the above. This is better, because who knows how, not how Mom knows the needs and possibilities of his child. In any case, by performing these exercises several times a day with the child, you will achieve the desired result.
