Australian professor Stelios Arkadyu( this is his real name) had been thinking about his idea for a long time, he had been building similar plans since 1996.Since then, the scientist has not abandoned the idea of ​​how to create the effect of his presence for people who are interesting to him. The professor had a desire that some people could hear what he said, and also hears himself. To do this, he introduced the skeleton of the human ear to his skin. After several years, this skeleton overgrew blood vessels and tissue, became visible above the surface of the skin of the hand, and acquired a clear outline of the human ear.

After this, the professor introduced into his third ear GPS and Wi-Fi. This allowed those who connect via a special channel on the Internet, to hear all that the scientist himself hears. Also, this embedded equipment will provide an opportunity to track the location of the professor.

Of course, in practice, the creation of the third ear on his hand did not look so simple. This work took many years. First for nearly a decade, Stelarc was engaged in the selection of a team of specialists who could conduct an operation to introduce the framework of the human ear. After the surgical intervention, there was a period when it was required to extract the implant for a while because of the infection. Ultimately, the implant successfully took root, after which it was equipped with a GPS system. According to the scientist, such a device will allow other people to track his location, hear the conversation, as well as all that surrounds the professor.

At the same time, Stelarc believes that his third ear is only the beginning of a serious transformation in society. Initially, this device does not have a switch, since the idea to create a third ear was that it would always have access for listeners.

The attitude of the public towards this device has been mixed. Some of the colleagues of the professor believe that their efforts should be directed to more useful lessons. In particular, the successes of American scientists on the development of implants of the auricles in their underdevelopment in children created with the help of a 3D printer are noted. The invention was tested by scientists in mice. After transplanting such an artificial auricle, its successful engraftment was noted, and after a while the growth of the cartilaginous tissue was noted at the transplant site.
