Winter dance

Features of the game and its educational value. The game is conducted under the Ukrainian folk melody and brings the children to the national culture of the Ukrainian people. Participation in the dance brings the kids together and gives them the opportunity to imagine the beauty of the winter nature.

As in previous games, children perform rhythmic movements under a poetic text. Movements should be very expressive, imaginative and complementary to words, which is new for children.

The proposed text has two important points: a description of the winter landscape and what happens in the life of the child at this time of year.

The game corresponds to the joyful mood of children who saw the first snow, it helps to feel and realize this event more deeply.

Description of the game and the techniques of its conduct. Children together with the tutor take hands and form a round dance. Moving in a circle, they chant the text and accompany it with movements.

Motions

The round dance moves to the right.

The children lower their arms, slowly turn to the left, then to the right, slightly squat. Rise, show a smooth movement of hands, as the snow spreads on the road, hangs on the trees. Then they connect hands overhead and whirl in place, depicting the roofs of houses.

Standing still, the children depict how they put on and button up their coats, pull on their boots. They twist, dance, clap their hands not to freeze.

Tips for the educator. Performing the same dance moves, children imitate the adult.

On how beautifully, expressively the educator is moving, the course of the game, and therefore the aesthetic feelings that the children will experience, depend.

In the future, you can diversify round dance movements without breaking, of course, their general nature. Here opens up scope for creativity, imagination, teacher's initiative. The round dance ends with a free dance for the same melody without text.

The game can be held both indoors and on site, to the music or singing its participants.
