    Operational Nurse I. General

    An operational medical nurse is assigned to a person with a secondary medical education who has received special training for working in the surgical dressing unit. The head physician of the hospital is appointed and dismissed on the recommendation of the chief nurse in accordance with the current legislation. Directly submits to the senior operating medical nurse, in the process of preparation and during the operation - to the surgeon and his assistants, during the period of duty - to the on-duty doctor of the department.     II.Obligations of

    1. Prepares the operating room and the participants for the operation.

    2. Keeps track of the timely delivery of the patient to the operating room, its correct location on the operating table and transportation from the operating room.

    3. It assists the participants of the operation during its conduct, providing participants with the necessary tools, materials, and equipment.

    4. During the operation, the timely return of tools and dressings is monitored.

    5. Ensures that all personnel in the operating room follow the rules of asepsis and antisepsis.

    6. Upon completion of the operation, collects the instruments, recounts them;produces the appropriate processing tools.

    7. Prepares underwear, dressings and sutures, clothing, masks, instruments and apparatus for sterilization;controls the quality of sterilization.

    8. Keeps track of the timely direction for histological and bacteriological examination of the material taken during the operation from the patient.

    9. Conducts the necessary accounting and reporting documentation.

    10. Accepts and delivers duty on the operating unit, checks the availability of sterile laundry, materials, solutions, tools, etc., necessary for watch, equipment serviceability, sanitary condition of the operating room. After the end of duty, counts the consumed and the remaining operating linen and materials.

    III.Rights

    The operating nurse has the right:

    1. To give instructions to the nurse of the operating unit during the operation.

    2. To check the scope and quality of the work done by the nurses.

    3. Control compliance with aseptic and antiseptic rules during the operation.
