• Healing properties of sage

Essential oil of sage has antimicrobial and antifungal activity, it can suppress even the development of such a resistant microbe as Staphylococcus aureus. Bitterness, contained in leaves, stimulates the secretory activity of the gastrointestinal tract, exerts a certain antispasmodic, astringent and analgesic effect in diseases of the digestive system. The first of them treat diseases of the musculoskeletal system and peripheral nervous system( for example, sciatica), and Ethiopian salvia is used in the treatment of tuberculosis, hemoptysis and gastric diseases.
