Herniated spine of lumbar spine: exercises of exercise therapy and causes of the onset of the disease
Herniated lumbar spine: exercises that can be done at home
Hernia in the lumbar region is the most common type of hernia of the spine. The disease occurs due to rupture of the vertebral disc. Most often, this ailment is observed in men, whose age is already far beyond 30.
Causes of the appearance of
At one time, no disease can appear. So the vertebral hernia is the result of many reasons. But the disease itself is provoked by heavy loads, which are mainly directed to the back.
Causes of a herniated lumbar spine:
- Incorrect or uneven load on the back. It is important not only to distribute proportionally to the load, but also to monitor posture. If you do not follow simple rules, the intervertebral discs can become unusable in a short time.
- Insufficient amount of water in the body. If the body has a normal water balance, then the connective tissues are in order, including the intervertebral discs. Only in the presence of the right amount of water discs perform their main task - the spring function. If water is not enough, the discs will start to dry, thereby losing their working capacity, which can lead to the appearance of a hernia.
- Rare physical activity. The absence of mild moderate loads affects the operation of vertebral discs badly. Due to simple exercises, the muscles and ligaments of the spine are developed and do not weaken. In addition, movement is the basis of proper blood circulation.
- Incorrect power. For the well-coordinated work of any organ of the body, including the spine, certain vitamins and microelements are required. The bulk of all substances enter the body through food. For bone tissue you need calcium, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium and many other elements, without which human bones and spine will become weak and brittle.
Therapeutic physical training
LFK with a lumbar hernia is an integral important component of the whole treatment and prophylaxis complex. Therapeutic physical training is aimed at strengthening the muscles that connect the spine and promote walking. And also such treatment should teach the patient the right movements on the street and at home: proper running, walking, comfortable position of the body during sleep.
How to warm up properly with a hernia?
Before the onset of problems with the spine and in the presence of a hernia, light gymnastics is necessary.
Herniated lumbar spine, exercises:
- It is necessary to take a horizontal position: lie on your back, stretch your arms parallel to your body and bend your legs in your lap. The abdominal muscles must be stretched to the maximum state and after a few seconds to relax. You can repeat the exercise 10 or 15 times.
- Lie on your back, stretch your arms and legs. The muscles of the back need a little strain. Next, you need to raise the pelvis and hold in this position for 8-10 seconds, and then again take the original position.
- Accept the initial position, as in the first exercise, only the hands must be positioned at the level of the first lumbar vertebra. It is necessary to inhale and deviate first to the left, and then to the right. On exhalation, you must return to the starting position. At this time, you need to move the palm along the lumbar region, massaging each individual vertebra.
- It is necessary to stand upright, squeeze the hands into a fist and position them along the spine, one above the other. Fists should be gently pushed into the spine, gradually moving and increasing pressure. Continue for 5 minutes and rest for a while. Then you can continue the exercise again.
