In essential oil of eucalyptus, the main biologically active substance, eucalyptol, acts like a cineole, a biochemical substance found in many fragrant plants-healers( laurel, rosemary, sage).

In addition to essential oil, eucalyptus leaves contain tannins, healing bitches, resins and, of course, phytoncides - substances that are destructive to a wide variety of pathogenic bacteria and microbes. According to the content of phytoncides eucalyptus is the absolute champion among all deciduous trees and herbaceous essential oils. Even such a recognized source of plant antibiotics is inferior to it, like the laurel of the noble. The strength of eucalyptus is such that it easily destroys particularly resistant pathogenic microorganisms - dysentery rod, streptococcus and staphylococci;it inhibits the growth of trichomonads( a hard-to-treat infection of the genital tract), tuberculous mycobacteria, and is able to fight the pathogens of malarial fever. External it is prescribed as an analgesic for neuralgia, rheumatism, radiculitis, lumbago and as a means of repelling mosquitoes, mosquitoes, ants and other insects. The doctors of the past used eucalyptus even in the treatment of diseases of the stomach and intestines - as an anti-inflammatory, anthelmintic and antiparasitic agent. He fights intestinal parasites( ascarids and pinworms) and is effective in pediculosis( damage to the hairy parts of the body with lice).

Purified resin, or its oil, can be taken inside, the dose is five drops or more.

Coniferous trees, like an electric machine, accumulate viability, condensed energy storage, or naturovaloris. Druids often called resin cups of life.

Some forest species can enhance or hamper the action of psychic energy. Oak and needles are good, but aspen, alder and small elms rarely help energy. "

Essential oils obtained from different types of eucalyptus, in connection with the properties and features of application can be divided into 3 groups: pharmaceutical, perfume and technical.

The outer layer of the cortex( crust) with ceases to function cells peels off large areas and falls off. Young branches are tetrahedral, bearing opposite, sessile, often stem-lobate, ovoid, with heart-shaped base leaves. They, like the branches, are covered in a gray wax coating. Later, the branches become rounded, and the leaves are short-skinned, regular. The leaf plates are elongated, becoming oblong-ovate, lanceolate and sickle-shaped, dark green. Old leaves drooping, are directed to the sun not by a plane, but by ribs, why the trees almost do not give a shadow.

Flowers single, axillary. Buds drooping, like inverted urnochki. Calyx tubular, fused with the ovary, is closed by a lid with a dome-shaped process, which is a fused petal. When the flowers bloom, the lid drops and a lot of stamens are found in the form of fringe. Pestle with the bottom of the ovary. Geographical spread. The birthplace of eucalypts is Australia and Fr. Tasmania. Clean eucalyptus forests are not at all like ours. The trees here stand as if planted at an equal distance from each other. Their crowns do not touch, and a tall grass grows in a light forest and herds of sheep and cows graze.

On the initiative of the botanist AN Krasnov, eucalypts began to breed in the late XIX - early XX century on the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus.
