Games that develop a tactile perception of the shape of three-dimensional objects
Everyone knows that an attractive object the kid will certainly try to pick up. However, the typical actions of children with objects( dragging from place to place, tapping on other objects, clamping in their hands, manipulating) do not lead to perception of the form and, even more so, to highlight its qualitative features. These actions, devoid of play and cognitive purpose, speak of a low level of cognitive and sensory development of the child. In the absence of timely educational and educational influences, this can serve as a serious obstacle to the successful formation of cognitive, playful, imaginative, creative and constructive activities.
The proposed games contain gradually increasing learning tasks and rules of game actions. Active participation in these entertaining joint games allows children to easily and successfully master rational methods of tactile examination of the shape of volumetric and planar objects if the following conditions are met:
1. The child examines the object with both hands and fingers it with his fingers, turning in all directions.
2. During the examination, both hands act in concert and actively. With one hand( left), the child holds and turns the object, and fingers it with the other hand, probes it on each side, stopping at additional parts that characterize the structure of its shape( for example, on a handle on a cup on wheels and on a toy truck,).
3. The participation of the view in this process is excluded. However, the child must be able to pre-examine the object that will fall into his hands. This will help to successfully distinguish the features of the form and recognize the subject in the process of tactile examination. Preliminary visual acquaintance with the form will serve as an auxiliary support for the formation in the child of more clear ideas about how the object is structured. To gradually increase the level of perception of form as a distinctive feature of meta, it is equally important that after a tactile examination the toddlers can again look at the objects.
