Materials and tools for the execution of gypsum works

Manufacturing of stucco from gypsum is possible without a specific set of materials and tools, namely:

Preparation of the form

Of course, before you start creating a form, it is necessary to determine the sketch of the product, because this is an ornament of the interior of the room, so it is worthwhile to carefully approach its development. And without a sketch, we will not be able to start work.

Take silicone and silicone oil, they need to be mixed.

The addition of oil helps the silicone to become softer and more elastic. In case you have chosen a very simple form, you can not add oil.

After the mixture is ready, the crucial moment of coating of the product to be coped comes. Be careful and attentive, since silicone should get into all pores of the product, it is best to use brushes for this. Silicone must be driven into each groove, while, by the way, all the air bubbles evaporate.

It is worth saying a few words about bubbles, because if they stay, they will spoil all the products that will be subsequently produced on this form.

As for the layers of silicone, there must be several. After the first layer is finished, it is necessary to make reinforcement. This is required to ensure that the form, in addition to elasticity, is also strong. In fact, it is not necessary to be frightened, the reinforcement can be done with the help of gauze, only it is worthwhile to watch, that when stacked, it snugly adhered to it, but without straining.

After laying the gauze, the rest of the silicone layers are applied to it.

Silicone should dry out, and then in the weak places it is necessary to make thickening forms. This is also done with silicone. It is very convenient to do this with silicone in tubes, which can be filled in a gun. A strip is applied to the edges, and then it is smeared on the edge. To keep the silicone from sticking, moisten the finger with water.

After you have missed everything, allow the product to dry and start a new stage.

Form Bed

A molding bed is the base in which a silicone mold is directly inserted. It is necessary to ensure that when the product was made in silicone form, the original appearance was preserved, and it was not deformed.

The resulting gypsum mixture must be poured into the formwork, directly onto the product.

In this process, all pores should also be smeared with a brush. Filling the formwork with a plaster mixture, the resulting layers should be equalized with a spatula.

After the gypsum is filled in the required quantity, it is necessary to remove excess moisture. You can scoop water out.

Alternatively, make a hole in the formwork and use a spatula to drive away the water.

The product should dry, it may take a day or more.

That's the final step in creating a product from gypsum. It is worth turning it down the bed and pulling the pilaster out of the silicone mold.

The bed should dry separately.

A few days - and you can safely make new copies of the pilasters. So work with pleasure.
