Hare origami from paper: step by step hare instruction from modules and video
Origami hare: make a beautiful decoration for the Easter table
A hare or a rabbit is one of the Catholic symbols of Easter. The roots of this symbolism goes back to the pagan identification of the hare with fertility. In the spring they often ran into the gardens and orchards, looking for something to profit, not being afraid of anything and no one. Therefore, on Easter, adults called their godchildren into the garden, hunt the Easter bunny, that is, look for hidden eggs. And their decoration is attributed to the animal itself. Hare origami paper and now will be an excellent decoration for the Easter table or basket, and he will find his place under the Christmas tree.
Easter bunny
The scheme for assembling this Easter bunny holding an egg in the paws is quite simple. For work we need two squares of paper with a side of 21 cm.
1. Take one square sheet of paper. Fold it in one diagonal.
2. We turn the top to ourselves, we lower the side corners to it.
3. Each sharp corner is lifted up, folding the small triangles in half. We turn our workpiece on the opposite side.
4. Bend down the top triangle of the workpiece, similar to that on a diamond.
5. Bend the lower corner slightly upwards. He will become the nose of our hare.
6. Again, turn the workpiece to the other side. The right and left corners of the workpiece are put together, to the center line.
7. One layer of the paper of the lower triangle is bent upwards. The free triangle remaining will be the bunny's attachment to the stand.
8. This is how the finished bunny looks from the front side.
9. Fold the stand for the egg from the paper.
10. Take the second square of paper, add it on two diagonals. Unfold, get the fold lines.
11. All the corners are added to the center, we get a new square. This is the basic form of "pancake", it is used in many other origami schemes.
12. Add the two upper opposite corners to the center. This is very convenient to do with the remaining bends of the diagonals.
13. Fold the workpiece in half so that the folds are inside.
14. Insert the bunny into the gap with the remaining free bottom triangle. For strength, glue it.
15. Insert the left corner into the right corner of the stand and also glue it.
16. We decorate our rabbit with a muzzle in any convenient way.
17. Easter bunny is ready!
Hare from
modules Origami hare made from modules, made for this master class, will require no less than 522 modules. Choose the color of the paper to your taste. You can make it as monophonic, and, making modules of different colors, decorate the figure. Make, for example, 120 colored triangles and 402 white. If you want to repeat the bunny with a photo, you will need 48 yellow and blue modules, 24 blue ones.
The module is the smallest detail of this composition, a small origami triangle. However, it also develops according to certain rules. And we will add it according to this scheme:
The paper can be used as usual, cut A4 sheets. Excellent fit small sheets of already sliced office paper for notes.
Modular origami Hare, step by step instruction begins right now.
1. As soon as all the modules are ready for work, we begin the assembly.
2. The first three modules are placed on the table as shown in the photo. In the pocket of the first module, we insert the corners of the following two.
3. We take the following two modules and connect them to the previous ones in the same way. As a result, we should get 2 rows of 24 modules each. At the end we close the modules in a circle.
4. The third row of the hare is assembled, putting the modules in staggered order.
5. The resulting circle is carefully turned out, creating a shape that looks like a bowl. Of the 24 blue modules, we collect the 4th row. At the end, align the modules.
6. We also collect 4 more rows.
7. The next series will consist of white modules. We put them on the long side down. This series will come out of this already.
8. In the next row add one additional module to each 4th module.
9. The following series will already consist of 30 modules. In total, we collect the head from 8 rows.
10. In the last row, we reduce the modules together, creating the shape of the ball.
11. Ears do by putting on 6 modules as well as in the front row of the head. We alternate 5-6 modules of 7 rows, and with 8 we begin to make a narrowing. So in the 8th row we will have 5 modules, and in 9 already 4.
12. By the same principle, we make a hare and a second ear.
13. The hare is almost ready, it remains to cut out paper and glue the eyes, nose, piles and collar to it.
In addition to these, there are a huge variety of options, how to make a hare in the technique of origami, a video of some of the ways we give below.
