Cosmetic massage
Cosmetic massage is used to improve the condition of open parts of the skin( face, neck, brushes), prevent its premature aging and strengthen hair on the head, treat various cosmetic deficiencies.
Mechanical irritations are applied in the form of easy stroking, rubbing, kneading, vibration and effleurage. Massage movements should be rhythmic, do not shift the skin and be carried to the score 1-2-3-4.The effectiveness of massage depends on its strength, duration and number of procedures. In addition, the positive effect of massage is established not only on the skin of open parts of the body, but also on the state of the whole organism.
In cosmetic practice, there are 3 types of massage: cosmetic for cream, plastic and therapeutic.
Cosmetic cream massage( as a hygienic procedure) is used for fading skin of the face and neck with a weakened muscle tone, premature appearance of wrinkles and folds, a decrease in the function of the sebaceous glands, pastose and swelling.
Plastic massage is shown with fading skin of the face and neck, with a significant subcutaneous fat tissue and is usually recommended for people over 30 years old.
Therapeutic massage ( according to Jacquet), as a rule, is carried out by young people suffering from oily skin seborrhea with acne, the presence of infiltrates and stagnant spots, with reduced tonus of facial muscles, as a final procedure after a steam bath, hot compress andmechanical cleansing of the skin of the massaged area.
The duration of the massage with its various types - from 10 to 15 minutes. The course consists of 15-20 sessions, procedures are performed every other day or twice a week, 2-3 courses per year.
Additional contraindications to facial massage: pustular and acute inflammatory skin lesions, eczema, acute form of rosacea, herpes, molluscum contagiosum, fungal diseases, flat warts, hirsutism, abrasions and cracks on the face, acute inflammation of the facial nerve.
It should be remembered that cosmetic massage, which is a very responsible procedure, requires special knowledge and relevant experience. Wrong choice and application of massage techniques can lead to the formation or increase of wrinkles, skin folds, etc. In this regard, facial massage, especially self-massage, it is desirable to conduct( even with healthy skin) only after consulting a specialist beautician or dermatologist.
