    Reconstructive massage is a massage that is used for faster recovery of motor performance and relieving feelings of fatigue.

    Rehabilitation massage tasks:

    1) restore motor performance;

    2) relieve the feeling of fatigue;

    3) prepare the body for the upcoming physical exertion.

    Restorative massage is performed after competitions or training sessions and in breaks between them. The duration of the session, as well as the depth and intensity of the massage should be individual for each athlete. With his appointment, it is necessary to take into account the sport, the loads used, the functional condition of the athlete, the size of the massaged surface and the development of the muscular apparatus. The duration of of the general recovery session is on average 40-60 minutes( with body weight up to 60 kg - 40 min, up to 75 kg - 50, up to 100 kg - 60 min).

    Restorative massage is most effective at daily, at least two-time sessions.

    restorative massage, lasting 10-15 minutes, is performed 15-20 minutes after training to reduce the excitatory processes of the central nervous system and reduce muscle tone. The main methods of kneading in conjunction with stroking, felting and shaking. A massage of the back and muscles that perform the main load is done. The regions of the body are massed in such a sequence: the back, at the same time the posterior and anterior surfaces of the lower extremities( in the position of the massaged supine position), the anterior surface of the chest and upper limbs.

    The second session, or remote ( main) restorative massage, lasting 40-60 minutes is carried out 2-4-6 hours after training. The time it takes depends on the amount of exercise done: the longer it is, the longer the break between the end of the training session or the competition and the long session of the restorative massage. For example, in sprinting, the second massage session can be applied 1.5 to 2 hours after the end of the competition, and after the marathon distances - not earlier than 6 hours.

    The following techniques are used: stroking, grinding, kneading, shaking and felting, passivemovement. They should be performed gently and painlessly, paying attention to careful massaging of the sites of attachment of muscles. The approximate percentage of the time between doses is as follows: grinding 25%, kneading 70%, and the remaining tricks 5%.The sequence of massage in the regions of the body is similar to the scheme of the general session. Massage is preferably carried out in a warm room.

    The importance of a restorative massage is taken into account by the load that falls on certain muscle groups and joints in each sport. In training for endurance, an important role is played by the massage of the muscles involved in breathing, for they carry a significant load during prolonged training. In many sports( track and field, wrestling, swimming, boxing, etc.) restorative massage, short in time, is held between the competitions. The nature of the massage is determined individually, as it often should not only accelerate the recovery process, but also prepare the athlete for subsequent sports activities.

    Restorative massage with the purpose of increasing the effectiveness of the impact on the functional condition of the athlete is used in combination with other restorative means: simple thermal physiotherapeutic procedures( compress, incandescent lamps, etc.), hardware massage( mainly vibrational), rubbers from the group of relaxants( cream "Ballet", Decontractil, etc.), sauna-sauna, etc.
