What are the signs of ailment?

If the kidney cyst of a child is inflamed, there may be the following symptoms:

1. pain in the lower back, that is, in that part of the body where the kidneys are located;
2. possible temperature increase, even to very high;
3. increased blood pressure;
4. any changes in the analysis of urine.

If a child has any of these signs, then immediately consult a doctor. To accurately diagnose a cyst, you need to make an ultrasound, where you can view it from 1 centimeter.

The most common symptoms are if there is already a pointed stage.

How is this disease treated?

Regarding the treatment of cysts, it depends on the stage of the disease and on possible complications. If the formation of a small size - from one centimeter to five, it is necessary just to regularly observe the child, to conduct ultrasound examination once a year. The cyst, which measures from five centimeters in size, needs to be treated.

Treatment is done in this way: a doctor punctures under a thorough ultrasound-observation. First, the needle is inserted through the skin, a catheter is inserted and fluid is drawn out. After this, it is necessary to introduce a special substance that flattenes the cyst. This method is not always effective, only in those cases where the education is up to six centimeters.

Surgical intervention is possible if the cyst is large or several. In some cases, it is removed completely, and sometimes with part of the kidney. And there are cases when the entire organ is removed.

To avoid complications and the development of the disease, you need to regularly undergo diagnostics. Complications include festering, possibly bleeding or a rupture. Any of these complications leads to infection of the blood, and in this case the fever rises. Also it is worth remembering that even if the cyst is a benign formation, there is still a risk of developing into a malignant tumor. That's why you should not engage in self-medication, but rather, in time to see a doctor and prevent serious consequences.

Proper nutrition of the child in case of a disease

If a cystic kidney formation in a child is detected, it is necessary to adhere to a special diet:

1. Limit the use of salt. This is necessary for those who have a disease that disrupts the normal functioning of the kidney, especially it is important to limit salt in food to those who have kidney failure.
2. The use of liquid should be monitored. But, if a patient with a cyst of the kidney lacks such signs as puffiness of the extremities, cardiovascular insufficiency, high blood pressure, then he should not limit the use of water.
