Why does a person develop iliac kidney dystopia
Dystopia of the kidney - a violation of the topography of the kidney, which can be located in the pelvic cavity, displaced in the sacroiliac region, thorax, etc. The disease is congenital, characterized by pain, dysuric and digestive disorders, pyelonephritis, hydronephrosis.

The iliac dystopia of the right kidney is most common: about 58% of cases, bilateral dystopia diagnosed at 8,4% of cases.
Symptoms of the disease
The clinic of the disease depends on the anatomical shape of the manifested anomaly. With lumbar dystopia, the patient may not show any complaints at all or notice only minor lumbar pains.
The iliac kidney dystopia has a more voluminous clinic: the patient complains of abdominal and ileal pains, in women these symptoms worsen during menstruation. The pain syndrome is explained by the fact that the dystopic kidney puts pressure on the nerve plexus and nearby organs. In connection with a similar etiology, urological disorders are possible. When squeezing the intestine, a person complains of flatulence, nausea and upset of the chair, causeless vomiting.
Pelvic dystopia of the kidney is traced by drawing pains in the appendages area in women and in the rectal area. Sometimes patients make complaints that indicate an acute surgical pathology. When squeezing the bladder in a man, there are violations of the stool, frequent urination accompanied by painfulness. Women can suspect the conception of the fetus, since often the disease manifests itself as a toxicosis of pregnancy. In pregnant women, the disease complicates the course of physiological births.
Chest pain may indicate an intrathoracic kidney dystopia. Often this form of the disease is accompanied by the development of congenital diaphragmatic hernia.
Chronic kidney failure develops as a result of cross-kidney dystopia. At a young age, people complain of nephrogenic arterial hypertension. Because of the congenital anomaly of the location of the kidneys, they often suffer from such diseases as hydronephrosis, tuberculosis, nephrolithiasis and pyelonephritis. The cause of these diseases can be associated with additional renal vessels or difficulty urine outflow into the bladder.
Often during surgery, a dystopic kidney can be accidentally damaged, due to which it is necessary to cover damaged vessels and parenchyma of the kidney. If the organ can not be saved, then a nephrectomy is performed.
Forecast and treatment of kidney dystopia
If a person is diagnosed with a given birth ailment, he should remain under the supervision of a urologist for the rest of his life. In the future, his health depends on what diseases he will develop.
If a woman is diagnosed with a pelvic dystopia of the kidney, then it is contraindicated to bear pregnancy. Often, bearing a fetus with such a diagnosis is simply impossible: the child can die. If the woman decided to conceive a pregnancy, then from an early date she should be under the supervision of a urologist, gynecologist and obstetrician.
The treatment is based on constant monitoring of the patient and timely prevention of kidney disease. In the case of detection of pyelonephritis or other infectious process, antibiotics and agents that improve renal blood flow are prescribed.
Surgical intervention is possible: the kidney can remove stones, with the death of the organ, a nephrectomy is performed.
