This kind of parrots is very elegantly complex. He has a slender body and soft plumage, which is original and brightly colored. But the feathers of the neck, head, wings and back have wavy strokes. It is because of them that the parrots get their name. On the cheeks and throat they have blue spots. Wild parrots have legs of blue color and green-yellow color. Home birds, however, can have completely different varieties of feather coloring and pink paws.
The sex of the parrot is determined at the end of the first month of their life. In females the waxen is pale blue, in males it is pale pink. Over time, its color changes. The adult male has a bright blue wax, and the female has all shades of brown. In addition, the females are roughened, and the males are smooth.
Care for wavy parrots

How to feed parrots
The main food of a budgie is the grain mixture, which is 60% millet, 20% from oatmeal or oats, 10% from weed seeds and 10% from sunflower seeds. Very important in the diet of birdies include:
- porridge. But only those that were prepared without oil and water. It is possible that they added sugar or salt;
- fresh greens of spinach and lettuce;
- germinated cereals. You can prepare this "dish" yourself. This is done in this way: soak the millet in warm water for about 2 days. Be sure to wash it, only this way you will avoid spoilage. After this, the mashed millet is wrapped in a paper towel and placed in a warm place. After another two days, the shoots must be dried and given a parrot;
- fresh fruits and vegetables;
- in winter, to prevent the appearance of vitamin deficiency, it is necessary to give the bird all kinds of vitamin preparations;
- always in the bird's cage must be clean water.
A large number of parrots may be interested in such unsuitable food as alcohol, fast food or smoked meat. In no case should you give them this, even as a treat. After all, these products often cause inflammation of the digestive system.
