What is better than Windows or Linux? We make the right choice!
Let's start with the fact that neither one nor the second system is ideal, no matter what the advocates of this or that operating system say, in each system you can find a flaw, a defect or a feature that will not be suitable for you. Therefore, this leads to the first and only correct advice: To understand what is better Windows or Linux - you need to work on that and on another system yourself. And do not just run the browser, watch a video file or listen to a music track. For honest analysis, you need to work on an unfamiliar operating system( this is usually Linux) - a week or two, not less! Personal testing will show the shortcomings of the new system, its features, and most importantly you will understand how it is flexible for your own needs.
I'll give an example: A desperate computer gamer will never get along on the open spaces of the Linux operating system. But at the same time, a novice programmer( a hacker, as they say in the people) OS Windows will seem closed, boring and limited system with a lot of flaws.
Of course, most of us, it's not gamers and not programmers, but mediocre users. But we would like to inform you of a simple thing, if you do not want to deal with computer programs, look for analogues, understand basic pieces of code - the Linux operating system seems to you a complicated and incomprehensible system. On it you will not be able to fully feel yourself free. All actions will evoke faster anger than pleasure. What's there to say, even installing ordinary drivers for the printer will seem unusually complicated, and perhaps even unsolvable.
However, if you are a person who is not afraid of difficulties, and even loves them, then we certainly recommend using UNIX operating systems. This environment for those who want to study a computer is not just superficial, but to adjust it so that it ideally fulfills all the tasks set.
Windows for a housewife or busy businessman, of course, will do more, although you should give credit to Linux OS!An ordinary user who uses a computer, only for watching movies, listening to music and surfing the Internet - Linux distributions, such as Ubuntu may well come up.

Than Linux is better than Windows:
- Most Linux distributions are absolutely FREE!
- Software( soft) is also free. What is very important for companies that are obliged to use exclusively legal software.
- In one of the most popular distributions - Ubuntu - the entire basic software package( office applications, browsers, media players, etc.) are installed with the operating system, thus eliminating unnecessary troubles.
- All in the same Ubuntu - all applications / programs / games are collected in a single directory, from which you can download and install, and click with just one button. Something like the App Store in Apple or Android Market in the Android mobile operating system.
Than Linux worse than Windows:
- Windows is still more customary for 98% of PC users. For them, any Linux distribution will be a mystery.
- On Linux it's almost impossible to play computer games, you have to be content with either "old samples", or try to run that or game for Windows using an emulator. That is, this system is clearly not for fans of computer games.
- There are no analogues of programs in Linux. The fact is that some manufacturers of specific programs are not interested in the release of versions under UNIX.There are a lot of reasons, beginning with the monetary component, ending with a relatively small audience.
As you understand, our advice is that the average-static user should choose Windows , not Linux. It is less troublesome and more productive.
We do not intend to mention in the article about speed. The fact is that it is incorrect to compare the whole family of Linux distributions with the Windows family.
