How to care for a computer? Proper care of the computer
Mar 04, 2018
It is now impossible to imagine a modern person who is not a computer user. The computer we use in various spheres of our life: for rest and work, self-education and self-development, communication and information. However, few of us pay proper attention to the question of caring for the computer. But this device, operated daily, requires compliance with certain rules. How to care for a computer?
The computer is categorically forbidden to move when it is on. This is fraught with the loss of all the information on its media. Of course, this rule applies exclusively to desktop PCs, and when moving the included laptop it's enough to avoid sudden movements.
Disconnecting the computer from the
network It is recommended not to disconnect the computer from the network, if this is not necessary. Especially do not do this, if you stop working on the computer you need for a short time. Between the moment of disconnection of the computer and the subsequent switching on it should pass at least half a minute. This is explained by the fact that in the components of the computer( power source, etc.), when switching on and off, transient processes of various kinds occur. Abuse of these processes in the form of frequent on-off of the computer adversely affect his condition.
Using the uninterruptible power supply
The uninterruptible power supply connected to the computer guarantees its protection from the effects of voltage drops, large overloads, unplanned power failure. Using an uninterruptible power supply, you not only extend the life of individual parts of your computer and keep all important documents stored in it safe, but also protect your wallet from unforeseen expenses.
All ventilation openings in the case of the system unit and monitor must be open. Do not place the monitor or the system unit in such a way as to restrict air access to them.
Avoid getting inside the computer and its components liquid - damage caused by this carelessness can be so serious that even repair will not save. Also, do not eat while working at the computer - crumbs and other food residues can harm your computer's devices. In general, do not put or put on the computer any foreign objects( this also includes various components, for example, it is highly undesirable to put a printer on the system unit, etc.).
Especially sensitive to various types of damage to the monitor screen. Even the smallest scratches will be visible on it. Do not use alcohol-containing and other "combustible" agents to wipe the monitor, do not rub the monitor with a hard cloth or sponge.
Monitor Be careful not to get a bright light on the screen, be it direct sunlight or an artificial light source. If the screen is too brightly illuminated, you need to adjust the brightness and contrast, making them more saturated. This, in turn, will shorten the life of the monitor and will have a negative impact on the eyesight. Also, do not place the monitor near heat sources( for example, batteries).
1-2 times a week wipe all the devices of the computer( monitor, system case, printer, etc.) from dust. Use only designed for the care of computer equipment - microfiber cloth, special napkins, special liquid.
A large amount of dust accumulates in the case of the system unit, which reduces the life of its components and can lead to malfunctions in the computer. It is recommended to completely disassemble the system unit every year and clean the internal components from dust. This procedure can be done on their own. But it is preferable to consult the services of the service center in this matter. Experts certainly know exactly what and where to "clean up".
And, of course, watch the dust in the room where the computer is located. Regularly do a wet cleaning, if possible, get an air humidifier( by the way, there are special USB humidifiers designed for people who spend a lot of time at the computer) - this will affect positively not only on the computer, but also on your health.
The keyboard is the most exploited part of the computer. Surely everyone has heard that on the keyboard of the average PC user contains as many microbes as on a hundred rims of the toilet. True or not - we do not know, but the rules of care for the keyboard your attention will be offered.
The keyboard should be wiped daily with a soft, slightly damp rag. To remove debris from the keyboard, you can use a vacuum cleaner: for this procedure, the keyboard needs to be turned over and vacuumed from the bottom. But it's best, of course, to wash the keyboard. True process is quite painstaking - you need to disassemble the entire keyboard, previously "remembering"( taking pictures, printing, etc.) the location of the keys on it. Having immersed all the keys in soapy water( even better - water with the disinfectant dissolved in it), carefully wipe the remaining base of the keyboard with a slightly damp rag. Rinse the keys under a stream of clean water, allow to dry and set back.
Correct and regular maintenance of the computer - guaranteeing a long service life, avoiding various damages, malfunctions in the device, saving money and nerves of the user of the PC.
