Useful and curative properties of adonis spring( goritsvet, Montenegro)
Perennial herbaceous plant up to 60 cm high. Rhizome vertical, short, dark brown. Stems are rounded, bare, erect. Basal and lower cauline leaves in the form of brownish scales; other cauline leaves are sessile, subdivided, their lobes are narrow, entire. Flowers single, large, light yellow. Fruits globose-obovate, wrinkled, columns bent downward, hooked. Blossoms in April-May.
The whole plant is poisonous.
Distributed in the black earth zone of the European part of Russia, in the Ciscaucasia, in Western and Eastern Siberia, in Ukraine, in the Crimea. It grows on the outskirts of forests and groves, on hills and slopes of mountains, in the steppe.
The active principles of adonis spring are cardiac glycosides( cimarin and adonitoxin) and saponins.
Spring Goris is used as a regulator of cardiac activity, as well as a general and diuretic. In contrast to the preparations of digitalis, the glycosides of Adonis spring do not cumulate, which makes it possible to treat patients with Adonis spring preparations on an outpatient basis.
In people, adonis spring has long been known as a good remedy for colds, pneumonia, dropsy and other such diseases, when it is necessary to raise the vitality of the body and normalize the cardiac activity, with neuroses and insufficiency.
Due to the presence of cardiac glycoside in adonis, it acts soothingly on the heart, strengthens the nervous system, raises vitality and intensifies diuresis( urination), which prevents edema and regulates heart activity. In addition, it is used as a decoction with cramps, coughing, colic, with pains in the bones and headache, fever, inflammation and pulmonary tuberculosis, emphysema, in hysteria.
The herb Adonis spring is prepared for only one year. Dry and store the aboveground part according to general rules.
Folk way of application.
Decoction of herbs: 1) for adults: 4-South for 200ml or 1-2 teaspoons of chopped dry grass for a glass of boiling water;to use 1 tbsp.spoon three times a day;2) for children of two-year-old age - 5-6 drops, six-year-old - 15 drops, twelve-year-old - 2 tsp 5-6 times a day.
In the southern regions of the Southeast, the Volgian mountain character is widespread( Adonis Volzhsky).It differs from the adonis of spring with a smaller height( 25-40 cm), almost from the base, a branchy stem, smaller flowers and broader, short linear-lanceolate lobes of leaves. The whole plant is lighter in color of leaves and flowers. In medicinal relation, the Volga mountain color is inferior in many respects to the spring gorichvet.
For therapeutic purposes, use the entire aboveground olive-stvennuyu part, collected during flowering.
Application of
Infusion: 6 g of herb per 200 ml of water, take 1 tbsp.spoon 2-3 times a day.
