Useful and curative properties of violet fragrant
Perennial herbaceous plant with creeping, highly branched rhizome. Basal leaves on long petioles, round-oval, cordate, yellow-green in color. Flowers are dark purple, strongly fragrant( it is due to the smell and color of flowers, it differs from the violet tricolor - pansies).Blossoms in early spring and summer.
Medicinal raw materials are flowers, leaves and roots, dried in the shade, but quickly.
It is used in folk medicine. Violet fragrant is effective for lung diseases accompanied by sputum, and whooping cough. Pertussis is treated as follows. The sick child is given a drink of a broth of violets, and with the oil cake of this plant, while it is still yellow, or with the most boiled grass, also yellow, overlay the upper part of the breast, bandage it so that it turns out something like a warming compress( the duration of the compress is from 1-1.5hours).Do this in the morning and in the evening( at night).The broth should be given to the child every 2 hours throughout the day for 1 tbsp.spoon. With such treatment for three days, the cough stops torturing the child. A sick child aged 7-10 years old can take 2-3 tbsp.tablespoons of broth. It is very useful to sweeten the broth with honey. Use the decoction yellow.
The same treatment will give good results with gout. Decoction or tincture of a violet violet is taken internally with emphysema, rheumatism, and also with urinary incontinence.
Preparations from violet foliage are used for kidney stone disease( with sand in the bladder or kidneys), but the results of the treatment will be better if the preparation is made from a mixture of fragrant violets, bean pods, corn stigmas, bearberry leaves and birch buds( in total).Take 2 tbsp.spoon mixture for 2-4 cups of boiling water and insist 20 minutes;use 2-3 tbsp.spoon 3 times a day.
Decoction of dried flowers prescribed for getting rid of epilepsy and other seizures. A syrup of flowers is given to a newborn instead of a laxative and from a cough. Broth of mossy violets - for rinsing the throat from hoarseness, is recommended for influenza, angina and other inflammations of the mucous membrane of the upper respiratory tract.
Application
Decoction: 2 g per 200 ml;on 2-3.Art.spoon 3 times a day. Tincture 25%: 25 drops 3 times a day.
Decoction of whole plants( 30 g per 1 liter of water - daily dose) is taken orally with stones in the kidneys, bladder, gout, rheumatism, pulmonary diseases, for sputum removal from the bronchi, with whooping cough, etc.
