Useful and healing properties of cloves
Perennial herbaceous plant up to 60 cm tall. Has a thick rhizome with a bundle of accessory roots. Stems erect, cylindrical, knobby. The leaves are simple, opposite, sessile, linear, shek-rohovatoopushennye, especially in the lower part. Flowers large, single, bisexual, regular, pink-purple, five-membered. Fruit - a box. Blossoms in June-July.
Distributed in the east of the European part of Russia, in Western and Eastern Siberia, the Far East and Central Asia. It occurs in pine forests, on steppe meadows and along stony slopes.
Medicinal raw materials are grass( stems, leaves) and clove flowers. Collection of raw materials is carried out during flowering.
Contains 133.6 mg% of vitamin C and saponins, especially in flowers;traces of alkaloids, glycosides, triterpene saponins, flavonoids and coumarin have been found in the grass.
Experimental studies have shown that clove broth of field is an active mother product without side effects. Its drugs are less active( 3-4 times) than ergot but are not poisonous( there is no danger of overdose).Carnation preparations are recommended for atony of the uterus, profuse menstruation, bloody hemorrhoids, metrorrhagia.
In folk medicine, a decoction of a plant collected during flowering is drunk with heart diseases, abdominal pain, uterine bleeding;with pain in the chest, in the heart, with a strong palpitation, with hemorrhoidal bleeding, with scrofula in the form of baths and douches.
Application
Decoction: 1 full art.a spoonful of raw materials for a glass of boiling water;take 1 tbsp.spoon 3 times a day.
Extract: 25 g of raw material is concentrated in the oven to half;take 1 teaspoon 3 times a day.
Homemade oil: take a bottle of olive oil and take 1/10 bottles of crushed herb cloves, insist 8 days;use 5-10 drops 3 times a day.
Infusion: 1 tbsp.a spoonful of herbs for a glass of boiling water, insist 2 hours, take under Art.spoon 3 times a day with postpartum hemorrhages, etc.
Infusion of flowers of cloves rub the skin to protect against mosquitoes.
