Useful and medicinal properties of Chinese magnolia vine( liana)
Curly woody plant - liana with a powerful rhizome. Stem up to 16 m long and up to 25 cm thick with a dark brown peeling bark. Leaves are simple,
petiolate. Flowers white, fragrant, single, same-sex, located on one individual. Female flowers - with numerous pestles. When matured, the flower-seeder lengthens 25-30 times, and from one flower an overhanging brush is formed, seated with orange-red globular berries. Blossoms in June, fruiting in late August-September.

Drugs and seeds of Schisandra are used for medicinal purposes. The berries are harvested in September, at the time of their full maturity, cutting off whole fruit brushes and then breaking off intact berries.
