Drugs and alcohol are incompatible
There is no such medical product that a doctor will recommend taking with alcohol. However, no one canceled holidays, so the course of the disease can coincide with one of them. Migraines, allergic reactions or ARI - and this is only an incomplete list. So is it worth it to risk a friendly meeting or anniversary?
Antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory
All preparations containing paracetamol, in a dangerous tandem with alcohol, are detrimental to the liver. And if ethyl alcohol is constantly combined with antipyretic drugs - the liver will be seriously affected. Do not be friends with alcohol and anti-inflammatory drugs - aspirin in a similar company irritates the gastric mucosa and increases the risk of ulcers. You should not listen to folk "wisdom" to reduce the symptoms of a hangover - take aspirin before the feast or during it. The head will hurt no less in the morning, moreover, the stomach will remind you of itself.
Antibacterial
Not the best way to influence the metabolism of alcohol antibiotics, splitting it into acetic aldehyde and acetic acid. And the very next day the body experiences all the "delights" of a hangover syndrome with poisoning: nausea, migraine, heart rhythm and breathing disorders. In some cases, the symptoms appear immediately after the first glass is taken. To abstain from alcohol is necessary within 4 days after the last reception of antibiotics in any form.
Antidepressants
Alcohol is able in a matter of hours to inhibit the activity of the central nervous system, so drinking it with antidepressants is stupid. Alcohol will increase the mood due to the release of adrenaline, but a grim state after sobering is guaranteed. Of the side effects:
- increased pressure;
- heart rate failure;
- stroke.
Vasodilating drops
Even the treatment of a common cold can turn into a tragedy, if the drops in the nose combine with the reception of strong drinks. They include adrenalin-like substances that, when exposed to alcohol, causes tachycardia and severe attacks of hypertension.
Sleeping or tranquilizers
Very dangerous and unsuccessful tandem from drugs of this group and alcohol is fraught with increased drowsiness and strong intoxication. There is a risk that in a deep sleep a person can choke on his own vomiting, or his breath will stop.
Insulin
Ethyl alcohol successfully reduces blood sugar, so with the simultaneous intake of insulin, hypoglycemia occurs. The glucose level goes down to a dangerous level, which causes weakness, fever, intense palpitation, and in some cases, death.
Antihistamines
Alcohol sometimes increases allergy( wine) and sedative effects of drugs. Ethyl alcohol reduces the antihistamine effect, increasing the toxic effect on the liver.
It is important to remember that a preparation containing a dangerous substance is produced under a variety of trade names, so caution should be exercised. But it is better not to drink strong medicines, and drink a healthy juice for the health of the culprit.
