Trachoma
FUCKING.Chronic infectious disease of the mucous membrane of the eyes with the compaction of its tissue, the formation of special grains and subsequent scarring.
Symptoms: begins imperceptibly and develops slowly;the first symptom is the itch of the eyelids, their reddening, the sensation of a foreign body after centuries, the mucous membrane acquires a velvety appearance with growths similar to small grains. Discharge of pus or mucus with pus is usually meager. Without treatment or with poor treatment, trachoma gradually leads to deformation of the edge of the eyelids, their curvature, improper growth of the eyelashes, to inflammation and clouding of the cornea, visual acuity is sharply reduced. Infection with trachoma occurs when the virus-pathogen is transferred from the patient's eyes to the eyes of a healthy person: through the hands, a common towel, handkerchiefs, pillows, etc. The exclusion of such ways of trachoma transfer is its warning.
Traditional medicine knows ways to treat trachoma at home.
1. Take 20 g of rose hips on a glass of water, boil for 10 minutes, insist for 24 hours. Drink half a glass 2 times a day.
2. Take a lemon, a match and a piece of sterilized cotton wool.
Cut the top of the lemon and squeeze into the glass twenty drops of juice. Vat dipped in juice and greased them with eyelids. The first three days to lubricate the eyelids only from the outside, on the fourth day lubricate and inside. It is desirable that the patient misses. It is better if the patient will conduct such treatment himself, so as not to infect another. One week of treatment is enough and trachoma passes.
3. Boil a hard-boiled egg, cut it in half, take out the yolk, and instead put one half of the protein a little sugar, and the other - burnt alum. Then, combine the two halves of the protein, tie them with a string, put them in a glass with cold boiled water, put it in a warm place or in the sun for a day. Then remove the egg, and pour the liquid into a vial and bury its eyes twice a day.

Trachoma is a predominantly chronic infectious inflammation of the connective membrane of the eyelids and the cornea. This disease manifests itself as a diffuse infiltration of the submucosal tissue of the conjunctiva, the formation of follicles( grains) in it, their decay and degeneration resulting in scarring caused by an atypical virus. Complications of trachoma can be corneal ulcers. In the treatment of patients with trachoma, 1% ointments of antibiotics( tetracycline, oxytetracycline dihydrate, erythromycin, oleandomycin, dibiomycin, etc.) and sulfanilamides( 5% ethazole ointment), as well as taking antibiotics inwards are applied topically. Continuous local treatment( ointment use) should be conducted 4-5 times a day for up to 3 months;for treatment and prevention 1 time a day for 6 months, lay a 1% dibiomycin ointment for the eyelids.
When the process is sluggish, one-time expression is shown. Expression is produced in the presence of follicles, while the conjunctival scars are tender.
Extrusion( expression) of the follicle should be carried out in the following stages:
• wipe the skin of the eyelids with alcohol, drip 3 times with 0.25% solution of dicaine or 2% solution of lidocaine;
• introduce a 1% solution of novocaine subconjunctively into the transitional folds;
• twist the eyelids and squeeze the conjunctiva between the tweezer jaws;
• extrude the entire surface of the conjunctiva of both eyelids;
• After the expression, rinse the conjunctival sac with a solution of antibiotics and lay the ointment.
Before this procedure, a nurse needs to wear glasses or a special mask, since the splashes of the contents of trachomatous grains caught in the eyes create the danger of infection with trachoma.
Patients with acute and chronic trachoma should be treated permanently.
