Job description of the nurse of the pediatric department
I. General part
The nurse of the pediatric department is assigned a person having a higher medical education in the specialty "Nursing" or secondary medical education, a certificate in the specialty "Nursing in Pediatrics".Appointed and dismissed chief physician of the hospital but the presentation of the chief nurse in accordance with applicable law. In its work is guided by this Regulation, legislative and regulatory documents of the Russian Federation on public health issues, as well as orders and instructions of higher authorities and officials. Constantly improves his knowledge and skills.
II.Responsibilities of
1. Conducts health education work among children, their relatives and the population, advises on healthy lifestyles, nutrition, breastfeeding, observes the rules of medical ethics and deontology in dealing with staff, parents and children.
2. Teaches parents to care for a healthy and sick child, to fulfill the sanitary and epidemiological requirements of childcare. Carries out patronage work in the family, collects information about the conditions of child upbringing, features of his character, habits for the successful implementation of care for him.
3. Provides first aid for children with emergency conditions, organizes the correct transportation of victims.
4. Provides the pre-hospital stage of preventive examinations of children of different ages on the basis of screening programs.
5. It plans vaccination prophylaxis and monitors its conduct.
6. Carries out the control over performance by the child and parents of recommendations and appointments of the doctor.
7. Performs a program of treatment and preventive care for a child, appointed by a doctor. Plans and implements nursing care for patients in accordance with the priorities of the needs.
8. Carries out:
• reception of patients in the medical-preventive institution( department);
• examination for the presence of pediculosis, providing the patient with individual care items;
• collection of material from patients for laboratory examination;
• a selection of doctor appointments from case histories;
• preparation of patients for instrumental research methods;
• compliance with the sanitary and epidemiological regime for the child, relatives and himself;
• control of the child's nutrition in the conditions of the treatment and prophylactic institution and at home, the quality and conformity of the transfers brought by the parents, the allowed assortment;
• preparation of portion requirements for dietitols;
• monitoring the patient's condition with the registration of any changes, making decisions in accordance with his level of competence.
9. Provides the medical personnel with timely information on the worsening of the patient's condition, complications arising as a result of medical manipulations.
10. Regularly increases qualification.
III.Rights
1. On the basis of the norms of medical ethics and deontology, to require the children and their parents to comply with the recommendations of the doctor and the regime of the treatment-and-prophylactic institution( department).
2. To obtain the necessary information for the precise performance of their duties.
3. To make suggestions but to improve the work of junior and middle medical personnel of the department of the institution.
4. To pass certification( re-attestation) in order to assign qualification categories.
5. Participate in activities conducted for medium-level medical personnel in medical and preventive institutions, participate in the work of professional medical associations.
6. To improve their qualifications.
IV.Responsibility of
The specialist for non-fulfillment of his professional duties is liable under the current legislation.
