Traditionally, the storage for compost is made of round logs stacked on each other with a gap, or a bar. The upper logs are not fixed, and they can be removed easily with stirring or compost digging. The gaps between the logs serve to compost ventilation. For better preservation of the tree and to prevent decay, it is recommended to treat it with a non-toxic wood preservative. In any case, it is desirable that the compost space has three separate compartments or sections: one for collection and accumulation of kitchen and garden waste, the second for compost in the preparation stage, the third for ready compost that can be selected and applied for garden crops.
