Due to the complicated economic situation in the country many Russians began to reduce their expenses. According to the research company "Romir", they have reduced spending not only on products of daily consumption, but also on services of paid medicine.

Only 38% of the respondents applied for paid assistance during the year. For comparison - this figure three years ago was 67%, and 10 years ago the number of paid medical services was about 62%.

As noted in the study, this situation has developed due to the fact that the population has decreased overall solvency.

It is also worth noting the changes in the number of patients who applied for services, who paid for medical services on their own. If in 2012 their number was 52% of the total number of applicants, now their number does not exceed 31%.

At the same time during the study it was found out that about 20% of respondents did not apply for medical paid help because they could not afford these expenses.

The figures reflecting the actual costs of the medical services provided were also studied separately. During the last year, those who applied for paid medical assistance to specialists spent an average of about 9,000 rubles. For comparison, over the past three years, this indicator fell by almost 30%, taking into account real inflation.
