Color Spot
Color stains are created mainly from miniature or low-growing open ground plants, which are sometimes supplemented with tall, beautifully flowering or deciduous-ornamental plants. Color spots have a variety of sizes and configurations. They are made against the background of the lawn, on which they stand out clearly, framed with flat stones, decorative tiles. One side of the stain can be attached directly to the track. When creating stains, the use of high-quality planting material, as well as skillful performance of the composition and careful care of plants throughout the growing season, is of great importance. Color spots can be created in one plane( monochrome and multicolor) and volumetric. When the device is flat monophonic, decorative plants of the same height are used, the spot does not almost rise above the lawn, brightly standing out on it. Such spots can be created from hyacinths, scallops, crocuses, violets, daisies or other stunted plants, abundantly and continuously flowering.
Monochrome spots can be varied, including contrasting tones. For example, the color spot from the alissum can be enriched by the inclusions of 5-6 plants of marigolds of the same height and a fiery orange color. Contrasts can also be inclusions of silvery, yellow-colored or red-leaved deciduous plants.
For the most artistic color solution of the projected spot create a layout in which it is set its size and tonality, the ratio and predominance of the colors. To perform a color and spatial solution, based on the size of the spot, you need to select the unit of measurement of the area allocated for this color. After designing on paper, the "drawing" is transferred to nature and planted with flowers. Volumetric color patches are obtained due to the use of different plants, and undersized beautiful flowering plants are a background, a lawn-frame. High incrustations from plants should rise above the low ones in the form of a second tier( for example, tulips of yellow color against the background of an Alpine forget-me-not).The perfect material for creating a background of bulky spots are marigolds, forget-me-nots, verbena, cleansing. Plants creating the upper tier are rarely solitary or nests. They should be airy with elegant flowers or openwork inflorescences of bright color. This increases the effect of the spot. Bulk spots are very beautiful, light in performance and are appropriate as color accents in any green object. They can be solved by the same methods as the spots in one plane.
Option to create a color spot
2-3 species or varieties of plants of the same height, contrasting in tone, are planted into the square of the desired size. Plant the plants in a square in strict rows. The linearity of planting one variety is violated by the transition of another variety into its series. Thanks to this, an ordinary strict landing in a square looks like picturesque contrast spots. In such a composition, beautiful, for example, white, pink, red with alissum look beautiful. The squares on the lawn can be located at equal distances from each other.
