Ingredients
For 1 kilogram of tangerines you will need 700 grams of sugar and two glasses of water.
Step-by-step cooking recipe
First, clean the tangerines and divide into slices. With tangerines, it's pretty simple.
Cook the syrup from sugar and water. As soon as the syrup boils, gently lower the mandarin slices into it, let it boil and remove from heat. After an hour, the syrup is poured into another dish, boil it for 10-15 minutes and then pour the mandarin slices again.
After an hour, repeat the entire procedure.
Finely slice a small amount of tangerine peel and scald with boiling water.
For the third time, pour the mandarin slices with syrup and boil for 10-15 minutes, add the zest.
If you do not like a very sweet jam, then you can reduce the amount of sugar.
Very interesting taste is obtained if in this jam add a stick of cinnamon before the last boiling, then a stick of cinnamon is removed and the jam is poured into cans.
Citrus jam with cognac
Another interesting way of making this jam with the addition of cognac: in syrup of sugar and water, add three spoons of cognac, and then do everything according to the recipe.
