II.Obligations of

1. To control availability of necessary medical equipment, inventory, documentation, equipment serviceability.

4. To help patients prepare for a doctor's examination.

5. Assist a doctor in performing diagnostic tests and independently perform a number of manipulations under the supervision of the physician( measurement of body temperature, preparation for X-ray examination, bladder washing, surgical treatment of the stoma, catheterization of the bladder in women, etc.).

6. To prepare patients for laboratory, instrumental methods of research, to explain the rules for collecting the analyzes to patients.

7. Perform a wide range of medical appointments and diagnostic manipulations, carry out care for seriously ill patients.

8. Organize the delivery of biological material from the hospital to the laboratory.

9. Participate in conducting educational work among patients.

10. Systematically improve their skills.

11. To issue medical documentation under the control of the doctor: extracts from the medical records of inpatients, disability sheets, referrals to the MCEC, etc.

III.Rights

1. To require the administration of the medical institution to create the necessary conditions in the workplace, ensuring the quality performance of their duties.

2. To receive the necessary information for the performance of their functional duties from a urologist, senior nurse of the department, the main nurse.

3. Require patients to comply with the internal regulations of the hospital.

4. To master an adjacent specialty.

5. Give instructions and supervise the work of nursing staff of the urology department.

IV.Responsibility of the

The evaluation of the nurse of the urological department is carried out by a urologist, the chief( senior) nurse, on the basis of taking into account the fulfillment of her functional duties, compliance with internal regulations, labor discipline, moral and ethical standards, and social activity. The nurse of the urology department is responsible for the unclear and untimely implementation of all the paragraphs of this manual. Types of personal responsibility are determined in accordance with applicable law.

For successful performance of their duties, the nurse of the urological department should be able to:

• carry out the necessary injections and dispensing of medicines;

• calculate the frequency of breathing and pulse, diuresis daily;

• measure blood pressure;

• correctly collect patient's excretions( urine, feces) for laboratory testing;

• quickly provide the necessary assistance to the patient and the doctor in urgent urological conditions;

know:

• Anatomical and functional features of the urinary system;

• types of instrumental diagnostics and rules and procedure for their conduct;

• rules and procedures for conducting major urological manipulations;

• rules for the management of medical records.
