The pulse and breathing become more frequent, the person complains of unpleasant sensations in the field of heart. With a slight impact, the body temperature rises slightly - up to 37.5 °, with a heavier form - to 39-41 °.
If a person is in the sun for a long time with an uncovered head, an sunstroke can happen. The first signs are about the same as in a heat stroke, then the shattering, pulsing noise in the ears, the patient's hands tremble. The face becomes blushed, heartbeat and breathing sharply increase, body temperature rises to 38-40 °.
In severe cases, when a person suffers from heat and sunlight, the person loses consciousness, and a stop of breathing and heart can occur.
It is necessary urgently to call the ambulance car or deliver the victim to the medical institution, providing him with first aid.
First place the victim in the shade, in a cool place so that the head is at the same level with the trunk. In case of vomiting, turn it on its side and clean the oral cavity of the vomit( with a finger wrapped in gauze).Moisten the face with cold water, wipe the body with a wet towel, on the forehead - cold( ice pack or cold lotions). If the person is conscious, you can give him cold water, better salted( half a teaspoon in a glass of water). To stimulate breathing from time to time, you should give him to sniff ammonia alcohol, moistening them with a piece of cotton wool. Take care not to get a drop of alcohol on your face.
If a person is unconscious, does not breathe, and his pulse is not felt, it is necessary to immediately start artificial respiration by the way "from mouth to mouth" or "from mouth to nose" and closed heart massage.
With a sunstroke, in addition to overheating of the body, there may be a burn - a consequence of exposure to sunlight on the skin. Even if the burn is shallow( reddening and swelling of the skin, pain and burning, worse when touched), lubricate this place with petroleum jelly or any vegetable oil. For three or four days, refrain from staying in the sun.
For a deeper burn, bumps on reddened skin, filled with a yellowish liquid, are characteristic. Do not try to open them! If they are small, then the place of the burn should be covered with a dry sterile bandage and consult the doctor immediately. You can also apply a bandage with a synthomycin emulsion for 2-3 hours, but the doctor should continue the treatment later. When there are a lot of bubbles and they are large, do not show any self-activity, do not open them yourself, but contact a doctor.
