Helping the doctor with a thermal condition at a dental appointment
Terminal status
Characteristic features:
• depression of consciousness:
• respiratory arrest;
• cardiac arrest;
• lack of pulse on the carotid artery;
• Cyanosis of the skin;
• stop bleeding from the socket of the removed tooth, from the injection wounds;
• dilated pupils, lack of response to light;
Emergency assistance
• call the ambulance team;
• Move the victim to a flat horizontal surface, tilt the head, push the lower jaw forward. Remove from the mouth cavity vomit, foreign bodies, etc.;
• carry out resuscitation measures - artificial lung ventilation and indirect heart massage. Artificial ventilation of the lungs can be carried out by mouth-to-mouth, mouth to nose, and also with the help of special devices, etc.
The number of respiratory movements per minute should be at least 12. Indirect cardiac massage provides a minimum of 100 squeezes per minute. When it is held, one hand is in the sternum, one finger from the xiphoid process. The second hand is at right angles to the first. The fingers should not touch the chest. Chest compression is performed vigorously, rhythmically, bending the sternum area 3-5 cm.
Every 2-3 minutes, it is necessary to control the restoration of independent cardiac activity, to determine the pulse on the carotid and femoral arteries;
• while concomitantly performing artificial ventilation and indirect heart massage, their ratio should be 1: 5;
• 0.5 ml of a 0.1% solution of epinephrine in 5 ml of physiological saline or glucose is intracardiac at the same time. Intradermetrically or intravenously, 120-150 mg of prednisolone is administered.
• intravenously injected: antifibrillation drug - lidocaine 1.5 mg per kg of body weight, followed by a transition to 2 mg per kg of body weight;sodium bicarbonate 4% 200 ml to improve the effect of drug therapy;ascorbic acid 5% 5 ml;Lasix 60 mg. To improve myocardial contractility, a 10% solution of calcium chloride is possible;with bradycardia - atropine sulfate solution;
• cold to the head.
