    When conducting inductothermy procedures, the patient is placed on a wooden couch next to the in-totothermia apparatus in the supine or sitting position, while all foreign metal objects are removed to avoid unwanted interference, such as concentration around the magnetic field lines. When performing induction procedures for exposure to a magnetic field on the patient's pathological focus, either a disk-inductor or an inductor cable is used. The disc is placed directly on the patient's clothing, and four types of electrodes are prepared from the cable, depending on the location of the pathological focus:

    • the first kind of inductor electrode from the cable - one turn of a flat longitudinal loop is made to act along the limbs or spine;

    • the second kind of inductor electrode - two turns of a flat longitudinal loop are made for longitudinal influence on pathological foci in the region of the chest, liver, kidneys, waist, abdomen, etc.;

    • the third kind of inductor electrode - is performed in the form of three turns of a flat round loop to affect the same areas as indicated in the previous version, and in addition to the shoulder and hip joints and pelvic organs;

    • fourth type of inductor electrode - three turns of a cylindrical loop are performed to affect pathological foci in the region of the upper and lower extremities.

    When performing electrode-inductors in the form of turns, special comb-separators are used, which fix the turns at a distance of 1 cm from each other. When placing an electrode-inductor made of a cable, it is necessary to create a gap between it and the patient's body within 1-2 cm using a flannel fabric liner folded in several layers or using the above plastic comb, in this case it is placed by the baseon the patient's body.

    Before starting the procedure, an inductor-electrode is connected to the device, and its working part is fixed with an elastic bandage on the patient's body over the pathological focus. The device is switched on by means of a switch and adjusted to the operating mode according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health of Russia.

    Inductothermic procedures are dosed by the strength of the current and by the intensity of the thermal sensation experienced by the patient. When conducting induction procedures, weak( mainly in the treatment of children), medium and strong thermal doses are used depending on the intended use. With a weak thermal dose, the current strength is 140-180 mA, with the average - from 180 to 240 mA, and with a strong thermal dose - from 240 to 300 mA( these parameters are typical for the DKV-2 apparatus).On other devices currently used in medical practice, the readings of the instruments will be different, which is reflected in special instructions and memos.
