    It is possible that the original classification, offering to divide the main types of personality into 13 groups, was more accurate. But for nearly two millennia( and its author was a Roman physician and natural scientist Galen, who lived in the 2nd century AD), her structure was gradually simplified and reduced, "coming" to us in the form of just four basic temperaments.

    Characteristics of personality types

    With so "rigid" division into only two groups, many scholars disagreed. And they offered their own version, in which the characteristics of personality types depended not only on extraversion or introversion, but also on three more preferences:

    • intuition and sensorics,
    • logic and ethics,
    • rationality and irrationality.
