For example, to view PDF files with illustrations, you need a higher resolution and a larger screen size.

Backlight

The question is the presence of lights. It is really necessary if the plans include reading at night or in poor light. Of course, this is very convenient, without disturbing a spouse sleeping next door, enjoy reading. However, if it is known in advance that the reading will be performed with good light, this function is not needed. The backlight will discharge the battery, and in models with a LCD screen when reading in the sun it is virtually useless. Touchscreen

Touch screens are now in fashion, therefore, faced with the choice of an electronic book, most people prefer a "sensor".But is it really necessary? It appears in the electronic book, it is often not needed. Yes, in this device a minimum of buttons, the touch screen extends the boundaries of working with the text, adding the possibility of highlighting the necessary information. However, the function of saving the result of editing in electronic books is not provided. In addition, the image on the touch screen suffers from a lack of brightness and clarity. Weight and size

When planning to read a book at home, you can disregard this parameter, but often an e-book is purchased just in order to keep time on the road. Weight of books varies from150 grams to a kilogram. Interface and reading formats
