Box from the box

The easiest and fastest way to make a casket with your own hands is from a finished box. On any balcony, attic or in the pantry there is always an unnecessary container from under some trifle. The case for small - decorate the box. How to do this? With paper or cloth. Of course, it's easier and cheaper to paste paper, but it will look like that, too. Therefore, we choose the second option - finishing the material.

The fabric can be different, but for a more presentable appearance: for the outside we take a flap more tightly, for the inside - velvet.

No matter which material you select, the action scheme will be one.

Originally it is necessary to prepare our base for the casket. To do this, the front of the box carefully cut at the sides, bend the front wall. On any box there is an intensification of ribs of cruelty - stickers from cardboard. They should be carefully removed.

Cutting material

Now we are figuring out what our future box will look like when it's in the unfolded state. We use the virtual disassembled box as a pattern.

If there is no experience in patterning - make it first from paper, and then transfer it to the fabric.

Be sure to check that you have cut out the contour properly by attaching a pattern to the box. Next, you need to paste the material on the substrate. If you use velvet or a similar fabric, it is better to strengthen it with non-woven fleece. This is not required for thicker tissues. Here's a video on how to apply non-woven:

Finishing the inside of the box

Now you can glue: carefully smear the edges of the box, you can zigzag on the walls. Applying the fabric, gently smooth it, ensuring a tight fit to the base. Before proceeding to the next stage, it is necessary to allow the adhesive to dry thoroughly.

If desired, you can make trays from smaller boxes or install partitions. Both are covered with material on the same principle.

Finishing the exterior of the

Now you need to trim the outside of the box.

Here you need a little more patience and accuracy. Using a pattern that was made earlier, we cut out such a detail, but with a 1 cm margin from each edge to cover the edges of the box. If necessary, we also strengthen the fabric with non-woven fabrics, and treat loose edges with fire. If the fabric for plating is monochrome, you can now sew it with beads and beads or tap it. This will guarantee that the jewelry will not fly through the month of use. And you can apply the original embroidery according to your drawing. For example, such beauty, as in the photo:
