After all, a beautiful ball is much more pleasant to hold in your hand than ordinary leather. Young girls from aristocratic families began to do temari with their own hands. Soon, even began to hold competitions on the most beautiful temari balls. And after a while, these crafts began to be given as a token of respect.

When the temari appeared, the basis was leather balls. To date, for the basics, you can choose anything: a tennis ball, a string of knitting threads, a ball of foam or pantyhose.

But remember that the threads must be placed evenly so that the ball remains round and that there are no glimpses of the ball.

To make such a ball, you need to spool about 7-9 minutes. The end of the thread must be hidden inside. To do this, thread the needle into the needle and make a few stitches. That's the basis and ready.

Now you can start marking the ball. At any top point of the ball, perpendicular to the needle.

Now we need to measure the diameter of the ball. To do this, we cut out a strip of paper from the sheet and apply it to the ball, it must be fixed with our pin and wrapped around the ball.
