  • Treatment of emphysema with folk remedies

Emphysema, , that is, bloating, is a persistent organic lung injury. The causes of emphysema can be long breathing exercises, switching off the lung or a part of it from the breathing process and compensatory expansion of another lung, inhaling with difficulty exhaling, which happens with prolonged cough, bronchial asthma, pneumonia and other diseases of the upper respiratory tract.

Symptoms: in the initial form of the disease, there is good compensation due to increased respiration. Periodic cough and minor dyspnoea with overexertion are characteristic. There is no oxygen starvation. With a pronounced degree of emphysema, dyspnea occurs even with insignificant effort, and then at rest, the vital capacity of the lungs decreases. With severe emphysema, heart failure is associated with respiratory failure, the so-called "pulmonary heart".

What's going on? There are 2 varieties of emphysema - senile and obturative. Lung emphysema develops in elderly people due to the weakening of the elastic properties of the lungs( regardless of the diseases). With this type of emphysema, the lung volume does not increase, gas exchange is not disturbed and the right ventricle of the heart is not hypertrophied.

Obturation emphysema develops as a result of bronchial asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia and other diseases of the bronchi and lungs. It is accompanied by destructive changes in lung tissue, mass death of capillaries, alveolar cells and interalveolar septa, which causes a persistent expansion of the lungs. As a result, respiratory failure develops.

What should I do? Treatment of emphysema is performed under the supervision of a physician. If treatment is started in a timely manner, at the initial stages, then complete recovery is possible. The complex of measures includes, first of all, the treatment of diseases that caused respiratory failure( bronchial asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, etc.).

Prevention of emphysema is to prevent the occurrence of various lung diseases that cause pulmonary insufficiency, as well as to improve living conditions( dampness and crowding are contraindicated).

The cause of this disease is the expansion of pulmonary alveoli. Emphysema of the lungs is divided into diffuse and limited. Diffuse emphysema extends to all the lungs, and limited - only to some of their parts. In addition, in accordance with the course of the disease, acute and chronic emphysema is isolated.

When pulmonary emphysema is affected, the respiratory organs are affected throughout their entire length, which often leads to a general immobility of the chest.

Indications. The greatest effectiveness is achieved if the massage treatment begins with a short disease.

In this massage, as well as in the treatment of bronchial asthma, the effect begins with the area of the back, the anterior and lateral parts of the chest, the back of the neck stroking and slight rubbing. After that, a selective effect on the muscles of the neck, intercostal space, suprapastral area, back is performed.

In addition, additional breathing exercises are also performed. To do this, the patient, taking a standing position, sitting or lying down, makes a full exhalation, pulling the stomach to the limit, and on the contrary, when inhaling, the stomach protrudes.

This exercise is performed 15-20 times at a slow pace: approximately 8 breaths per minute. Breathing is carried out through the nose, and exhalation - through the lips extended into the tube. The duration of exhalation during the session increases, ranging from 2-3 to 10-12 seconds.
