Amenorrhea is the absence of monthly menstruation in women. Normal is amenorrhea before puberty and after menopause, as well as during pregnancy and lactation.
Symptoms: no monthly menstruation.
What's going on? Pathological( that is, not caused by age-related changes or changes associated with pregnancy, childbirth and breast-feeding), amenorrhea is divided into temporary( in cases when menstruation disappear for a period, and then reappear) and constant( in cases whenmenstruation ceases forever).
Temporary amenorrhea can be caused by severe infectious diseases, general exhaustion of the body, blood diseases and metabolic disorders, as well as a variety of poisoning. Physical and mental fatigue, neuropsychiatric experiences can also cause amenorrhea. As a rule, amenorrhea occurs after abortion, cauterization of the uterine mucosa and other effects.
Permanent amenorrhea can be caused by diseases or malformations of the ovaries and uterus, and by irradiation and removal of the uterus and ovaries.
What should I do? Treatment of amenorrhea may be prescribed only by a doctor.
Recipes. Traditional medicine recommends for non-pregnancy delayed menstruation:
• drink green tea;
• drink decoction from the leaves of the bones;
• Drink a tablespoon of decoction of calendula flowers( a teaspoon of marigold in a glass of boiling water);
• Drink a third of the decoction broth on the morning on an empty stomach( peel from ten onions in 2 liters of water until the water turns dark red, as when boiling eggs before Easter).
The ability to restore menstruation after amenorrhea depends on the nature and extent of changes in the ovaries and uterus. Often the resumed menstruation is more scarce and repeated at longer intervals.
