Nursing service in medical organizations
The principles of organization of the nursing service for the units in the treatment and prophylactic institution are:
• organization of the workplace of the nurse ;
• organization of quality care and monitoring of patients;
• organizational and methodical work with personnel and organization of therapeutic nutrition;
• organization of health education of patients;
• Organization of a sanitary and anti-epidemic regime;
• organization of the protective regime of a medical institution.
The organization of the nurse's workplace
When organizing the workplace, the nurse must know what rules and regulations are important to observe at this workplace. For example, when working in a procedure room, the nurse clearly knows the structure of this cabinet and the rules that are observed here. The procedure room is conditionally divided into two zones: clean and conditionally clean. The clean zone is removed from the entrance to the office. It houses a table with sterile trays, a cabinet for medicinal preparations and instruments. Only the procedural nurse works in the clean zone, patients are not allowed here. Here the rules of aseptic and antiseptic are strictly observed. In a conditionally clean area, the nurse's desk is placed to fill out the magazines, a table with containers for disinfecting syringes, systems, rubber gloves and cotton balls. On the same table there are tanks for the preparation of disinfectant solutions. In the conventionally clean zone there is a shell, bactericidal ultraviolet irradiator, harvesting equipment. The office of the senior and chief nurses should be equipped with a desk, three cabinets for storing documents and medical preparations, a refrigerator and a safe. The office should be equipped with telephone communication and system alarm.
Organization of quality care for patients
The implementation of physical care for patients is the most important part of the nursing service. A nurse should create the most favorable conditions for a patient to stay in a medical institution, especially if the patient has been on treatment for a long time and has a lack of self-service.
Organizational and methodical work of
Organizational-methodical work is carried out according to a pre-designed annual plan. This plan is approved by the chief nurse of the medical institution and the head of the department. To conduct organizational and methodical work in each medical institution a council of nurses is created. The main tasks of the council are to increase theoretical and practical skills, the general cultural level of nurses, to improve the quality and culture of industrial work. To this end, the Council of Nurses organizes scientific intrahospital conferences, seminars and lectures on specific topics and topics, measures to develop modern and best practices, and carry out active health education among the population and patients. Once every two months, the council meets to discuss working issues.
A number of problems solved by the council include:
• study of orders and guidelines for the sanitary and epidemiological regime in this medical institution;
• accounting and storage of drugs, alcohol, narcotic drugs;
• preparation and conduct of scientific and practical conferences;
• hearing of reports of senior nurses about the work of the departments of the medical institution;
• study of the quality of nutrition of patients, work of the food box of buffets;
• analysis of work discipline in each department of a medical institution;
• exchange of work experience;
• studying and analyzing the quality and culture of patient care;
• study of medical ethics and deontology;
• an analysis of compliance with the health and fitness regime in a medical institution.
Organization of health education among patients
The main goal of health education is to increase the general and sanitary culture among patients. For this, the nurse conducts interviews with patients and their relatives, issues sanitary bulletins.
Organization of medical and protective treatment in a medical institution
The dominant task of the curative and protective regime is the protection of the physical and mental health of patients. For this purpose, a clear regime of the day, schedules of visits by relatives of patients, a rest regime are introduced in the medical institution.
