Hot breast wraps
Indications. All pneumopathies( lung, bronchial and tracheal diseases), including pulmonary tuberculosis, bronchial asthma and pneumosclerosis;pneumonia and bronchitis in newborn infants, including preterm infants;consequences of a cerebral stroke;Obliterating ekterotheritis and arteriosclerosis of vessels;diseases of veins;joint and articular diseases( in particular, arthritis and polyarthritis of various etiologies, rheumatoid arthritis, Bekhterev's disease);cold, flu;heart disease, including angina pectoris;frequent headaches
pain. By and large, for the appointment of hot chest wraps, the indication is any disease, accompanied by a decrease in the function of external respiration.
Let's look at the technique of hot chest wraps( TRP).
Preparation for the medical procedure
Take two long enough terry towels.(For this purpose, it is better to use soft, repeatedly washed towels.) Put them one on top of another, then fold them in half in such a way that their width is halved, and the length remains unchanged. Then roll the towels into a roll. Take another two terry towels, but wider and harder, and fold them in the same way. The length of each towel should not be less than 1.5 meters for an adult patient.
The patient to whom you are going to do GGO, should sit on his bed or stand next to her. Begin wrapping the patient's chest in the right axillary cavity on the chest, then back and again on the chest to the left axillary cavity. As a result of this wrapping, twice as many layers on the patient's chest as on the back are obtained. Take a woolen or flannel blanket, fold it four times along the length to reduce its width, and roll up the roll. Next, prepare two wafer towels 1.5 meters long each and put them on top of each other in expanded form. Waffle towels wrap the patient's chest in such a way that on his back formed two layers of towels, and on the chest four. Take a clean basin or a bucket and pour hot water at a temperature of 60 ° C into it. Measure the water temperature by a mercury 100-degree thermometer with the price of dividing the HS.If water of this temperature is too hot for your patient, then use a slightly lower temperature water to avoid burning the skin. Performing the following procedures, each time increase the temperature of hot water on the HS, until you reach 68-72 ° C.
Procedure Technique GGO
Wear lightweight knitted gloves and rubber on top of them( not to get burns of the skin of hands), dip two soft towels in a basin of hot water, roll them up, let them absorb water and quickly squeeze them out so thatthey did not drip water. Then quickly wrap these hot wet towels over the dry wafer towels of the patient's chest. Next, a second roll of dry, more rigid and wide terry towels is applied over wet terry towels, densely covering the patient's chest. Then wrap the patient's chest in a layered four-layer woolen( flannel) blanket. The lower part of the wrap can be tied with a light belt for secure fixation.
Then the wrapped patient goes to bed on his back, holding with his hands hot wrap. Cover it to the chin with some kind of warm( for example, cotton) blanket, tucked it from all sides, so that the air outside does not come to the wrap and does not cool it and the patient's body. The patient, covered in this way, should resemble a swaddled mummy. Cover his head with a towel, scarf or a knitted hat.
The duration of this treatment lasts an average of 20 to 40 minutes. It depends on how quickly the wrapping cools. The patient should lie and keep wrapping until he feels that he has stopped warming his chest and back. In some patients, the breast wrap keeps the heat for more than 40 minutes, and there are some who keep it warmer for less than 20 minutes. Procedure GGO should be conducted with an open window( in winter) or an open window( in the summer). Before removing the wrap, close the window( window).Throw the warm blanket to the waist of the patient and in a prone or sitting position, release his chest and back from the woolen( biker) blanket and all the towels, then put a knitted or shirts shirt on him( shirt). After that, the patient again goes to bed, hides a warm blanket and rest for at least an hour. The procedure of GGO
can be carried out at any time of the day, but it is most convenient to hold it in the evening before going to bed.
Applying GGO, be prepared for the reaction of exacerbation of symptoms from the patient's body. This natural reaction can be manifested, for example, in the form of an increase in temperature, an increase or an increase in the frequency of coughing. Exacerbation will be the symptoms of precisely those diseases that you have. Usually, the exacerbation reaction disappears or decreases significantly 2-3 days after the start of the GGO method, in rare cases it lasts longer. As a rule, the more this reaction is manifested, the faster the recovery of the organism then comes. I reassure that it is not a sign of a deterioration in health, as it is mistakenly considered in orthodox medicine, and is not a reason for stopping hot chest wraps.
The total number of GGO procedures that need to be taken, as in the treatment with turpentine baths, depends on the patient's initial condition, his psychological attitude towards this naturopathic method of treatment, the severity of his illnesses, the use of other methods of treatment, in particular capillary baths. Use GGO on demand, from several sessions to dozens of sessions, from several days to several months. If GGO is used in parallel with capillary baths, then I recommend alternating them. If you do not use turpentine baths at this time, GGO can be taken every day. In some cases, GGO can be used twice a day - in the morning and in the evening.
Hot breast wraps are a good help to turpentine baths, especially when treating diseases of the bronchopulmonary system - pneumonia
;bronchitis and tracheitis. This was noticed by Dr. Zalmanov.
