    Perennial herbaceous plant with straight, slightly pubescent tetrahedral stems, up to 60 cm high. Leaves ovate or cordate on long petioles, opposite, along the rim of large-filed,

    -like leaves of nettle, but not causing burns. Flowers large( up to 20 cm long), white, clearly bilabiate. Located whorls of 8-9 in the axils of the leaves;corolla outside hairy, fruit - nutlet up to 3.5 mm long. Blooms from May to July. In a flowering form, it can sometimes be observed before frost.

    Grows in the woods, among shrub thickets, in fences, in gardens and in wasteland. It is common everywhere in the North Caucasus, but not massively.

    Medicinal raw materials are the corolla of flowers, less often the grass or the tops of a flowering plant. Corollas of flowers should be harvested during the flowering period. The collection is subject only to well-developed unfolded corollas, which must be dried immediately after harvesting. Drying should be done in the shade, in a ventilated room, spreading a thin layer on paper or linen.

    Flowers contain traces of alkaloids, flavonoids, gistamine, tyramine, choline, tannins, saponins, essential oil, vitamin C, a lot of mucus.

    In the form of infusions, the flowers are taken internally for pulmonary, uterine and hemorrhoidal bleedings, inflammation of the kidneys, renal pelvis, bladder and urethra, with furunculosis, eczema and other skin diseases. Decoction of flowers are taken inside as a strong hemostatic. The effect of flowers is especially effective when using juice from them( and sometimes even from the grass itself).

    It is very useful to make a clear white cloth, especially its flowers, for diseases of the respiratory tract( thanks to saponins and mucus), and herbs - in the treatment of dyspepsia and to improve appetite.

    Decoction of herbs used in folk medicine also for the treatment of scrofula, furunculosis and other pustular skin diseases, while it is consumed in the form of tea without a special dosage.

    In combination with tri-colored violet and strawberry leaves in equal parts, the net is also useful for anemia, kidney and spleen diseases( in the form of broth), scrofula, furunculosis, etc.( in the form of infusion).

    Application of

    Infusion: 1 tbsp.a spoonful of dried flowers are brewed with a glass of boiling water, after cooling, filter and drink half the glass 3-4 times a day.

    Decoction of herbs or flowers: 20 g per 200 ml;1 glass 3 times a day or 1/2 cup 4 times a day in the form of infusion.

    Fresh juice: before use it is recommended to put on a water bath, then cool and take 1 glass( 2 tablespoons) 3 times a day.
