Examples of procedures for inductothermy
1. Chronic spastic colitis: an inductor-electrode is used in the form of a disk with a diameter of 30 cm, it is fixed on the stomach of the patient. Current strength in the range from 180 to 220 mA, the duration of exposure is from 15 to 20 minutes, every other day. The entire course of treatment - 15 procedures.
2. Chronic bronchitis: an electrode-inductor is used in the form of a disk with a diameter of 20 cm, fixed with an elastic bandage in the interblade area;current strength - from 180 to 200 mA, duration of exposure - 15 minutes, every other day. The entire course of inductothermy - 10 procedures.
3. Chronic cholecystitis: an inductor-cable( electrode) is used in the form of a flat loop, fix two turns of the inductor cable with an elastic bandage on the area of the gallbladder in the patient's position on the left side. The loop of the inductor-cable is placed above the pathological focus - on the anterior and posterior projections of the liver. The current is set on the device in the range from 180 to 220 mA, the duration of the exposure is from 15 to 20 minutes, every other day. The entire course of treatment - 12 procedures.
4. Closed fracture of the tibia in the lower third of the left tibia( after 10-12 days), use an inductor-cable( electrode) in the form of a solenoid, fix the three turns on a plaster bandage, set the current from 160 to 180 mA,duration of exposure - 15 to 20 minutes, daily;the entire course of treatment - from 10 to 12 procedures.
In physiotherapy practice since the 1980s.a highly effective method of treating various chronic diseases is used - the method of ultrahigh-frequency inductothermy. When using this method of treatment, the "Screen-1" and "Screen-2" devices are used, complete with 16 cm inductors and power up to 100 W.In this method, the active physical factor is the magnetic field of a special coil excited by a generator operating at a frequency of 40.68 MHz.
The method of ultrahigh-frequency inductothermy has a clear anti-inflammatory effect and is used mainly for the treatment of acute and subacute inflammatory diseases of the skin, subcutaneous adipose tissue and other tissues, including in the pathological foci. With this method, the duration of exposure to the area of the pathological focus is only 10 minutes daily or every other day, and 6 to 10 procedures are prescribed for the entire course of treatment.
The method of treatment of inductothermy has such advantages over other methods using different currents, such as the absence of burns on the patient's body, the impossibility of getting the patient electric trauma, because it is not connected to the current, and it is in an induced electromagnetic field.
