The regime and nutrition of the nursing mother, the intake of medicines
The baby was born, the hassle increased, but the mother should continue to lead the same lifestyle as during pregnancy. She should also avoid fatigue, sleep more, at least 8 hours, do not engage in too active sports and avoid heavy physical exertion. Walk walking is still useful, especially since now they can be combined with walking the baby in the fresh air.
As far as nutrition is concerned, it should remain the same, that is, food should be easily assimilated, varied and fresh. Only now it should be somewhat more. If during the pregnancy the future mother needed 2500 calories, now it is 3000, which is quite normal, because by the end of the second week she needs to provide a daily diet of the child, which is about 300 grams of milk.
Where can I get these extra calories? First, breakfast should be dense, so-called English( eggs, cereal, etc.), and the afternoon snack is satisfying enough. To the usual diet should be added milk, dairy products, cheeses, i.e. food rich in calcium and phosphorus, in which the child is particularly in need. And solid cheeses, for example Dutch, are preferable, as they contain much more calcium than fermented cheeses such as brie, roquefort;products rich in proteins( eggs, fish,
meat);fruits and vegetables "because they contain a lot of vitamins and mineral salts.
Special attention to breastfeeding women should be given to the content of yaseuse in their diet, especially for mothers of premature babies, twins or large children. In their daily diet of iron should be at least 30 mg. You can do with the intake of iron-containing drugs such as gemostimulin.
Do not forget about the change in the amount of liquid drunk. Milk, to which mother feeds her baby, is 90% water. Therefore, it needs to consume about 3 liters of liquid daily, including 1 liter of milk, if it tolerates it well, or 1 liter of diluted strong tea. If you continue to follow your figure, drink skim milk, kefir.
When breastfeeding, avoid eating foods that give off unpleasant taste to milk. These include: cauliflower, asparagus, celery, garlic, onions.
Breastfeeding mother should exclude taking medication, except for those prescribed by the doctor, as some of them are able to stop lactation or, while taking milk to the baby's body, harm it. These drugs include: tranquilizers, hypnotics, painkillers, hormone pills. So, the latter, getting with milk into the body of the child, cause him different endocrine disorders. Only those hormonal prepa-
are allowed, which can be destroyed in the digestive tract of the child. These include: insulin, adrenaline, adrenocorticotropic hormone. One of the causes of dysbiosis or other intestinal disorders in a baby is the mother's taking antibacterial drugs. Do not forget that many drugs can be the causes of drug allergies and increase allergic manifestations in a baby who is breastfed. Particularly strong effects of drugs on the newborn, and this may affect its further development. For example, the use of tetracycline, streptomycin, iodine, reserpine, sulfonamides and other drugs can lead to hearing damage, growth retardation, lethargy, rash, digestive disorders, bloody diarrhea, vomiting and other complications in the child. During breastfeeding, you should not self-medicate, and you should take medication only as directed by your doctor.
Mom should refuse to consume coffee in significant quantities and completely from alcohol, including beer( although some recommend nonalcoholic beer as a milk product) and tobacco.
Often, after birth, a woman begins to suffer from constipation. In this case, it is better not to use laxatives that can affect the baby, but there are plenty of vegetables, fruits and salads with vegetable oil. Keta-
te, doctors recommend eating vegetable oil in the amount of 20-30 g per day, primarily as a source of polyunsaturated fatty acids and vitamin E.
As for spices, some of them should not be abandoned. So, cumin, dill gives milk a pleasant taste, contributing to a more active sucking of the baby, and, therefore, lactation.
