Vegetative reproduction
The most common method of vegetative propagation in indoor gardening is the cuttings with stem stems. To a large extent, the success of this method depends on the plant species. The best time for propagation is spring( March, April, May). For the production of cuttings, annual herbaceous healthy shoots of 6-8 cm2-3 interstices and 3 to 4 leaves are used. Large leaves to reduce evaporation should be cut halfway-the lower cut is made directly under the sheet( 1 to 1.5 cm below the kidney).
Cuttings for rooting are planted in boxes, plastic or clay pots, high pots. At the bottom of these vessels must be an outlet for removing excess moisture and laid drainage from pebbles 2-3 cm thick.
As a substrate, we recommend using a ready-made soil "Rose" with a high humus content or a mixture of leaf and peat land with sand inratio( 1: 1: 1).On this layer, sterile coarse-grained
sand is poured with a layer of 3 - 5 cm, into which cuttings will be inserted. Immediately after cutting, they are placed in sand to a depth of 1.5 -2 cm. It is necessary to place hard-rooted cuttings for several hours( 8-12) in a solution of growth substances( phyto-monoids).
Cuttings of plants are best in cloudy weather or at the end of the day, when the heat somewhat drops. After planting the cuttings and watering them, we recommend to cover the box or pot with cuttings with a plastic bag for 5 to 7 days to increase the humidity.
Multiplication by bushes division and mustache is one of the easiest ways to obtain planting material. In this way, first of all, perennial bows, sorrel, henomeles and other crops multiply. When dividing the bushes on each separated part, there must necessarily be growth buds. If they do not exist, the separated rhizome will die. The division must be carried out carefully, taking into account the specific nature of this or that plant. Strawberries reproduce with mustaches. This is a long escape with internodes. It takes root with the help of additional roots. The stem, associated with the mother plant, eventually dies off, and an independent plant is obtained. Strawberries should be propagated only in this way. As soon as the whiskers form independent roots, they are separated from the mother plant.
