Origami dog: the simplest models for children

The skill of origami is huge, just an incredible number of options for folding a dog. Adult dogs and puppies, dachshunds, terriers, sheep dogs, models for children, in the classic technique of one sheet or modular origami dog of paper, of course, will not replace a true four-legged friend, but can be a pleasant little gift for amateur dog-breeders.

This scheme of folding the dog is ideal for children and for those who are just starting to master this art.

For the craft, you need one square sheet of paper.

1. Take the sheet and add it diagonally.

2. Without folding, fold the sheet again twice, in order to chart the midline and in the future it was easier to make the work symmetrical. Expand this fold, go back to the previous workpiece.

3. Put the triangle top to itself. Lateral corners bend, forming ears. Strict sizes are not here, you can make them more or less at your own discretion.

4. Finally, bend the remaining corner in the direction away from yourself and the muzzle of the dog is finally ready!

Next, you can dream up and differently arrange a dog. Draw her eyes, a spout, perhaps a spot on the eye or ear. You can also bend one of the sheets of the triangle down, and the second turn, and you will get a dog with an open mouth.

You can also make a dog's torso to the muzzle. There is one very simple way for beginners. To do this, the square sheet needs to be folded diagonally and the bottom corner slightly bent upwards to get a tail.

If the resulting dog from paper paste on a sheet of paper and paint it, you get a very original composition: applique and drawing.

Dog in the modular origami technique

This model is assembled from triangular modules of different sizes. In total, you need 3 sheets of 10 * 10 cm, 3 sheets of 7.5 * 7.5 cm and 3 sheets of paper 5 * 5 cm. The paper can be brown, yellow, ocher or white, which can then be creatively decorated. To fold it to us will help the scheme of origami placed below, the dog, as mentioned earlier, is made up of triangular modules, and they are done according to this instruction.

1. We put a square sheet of paper at one angle to ourselves, fold diagonally upwards. A triangle is obtained, the long side of which is at the bottom.
2. Next, the lateral angles bend to the top, so that their vertices coincide. We get a small square.
3. Turn it around, all corners must stay at the top.
4. The top sheet is bent downwards, we make a crease.
5. Down bend the right corner, the same way, and the left one. Before us is another triangle.
6. Bend the workpiece in half, we get the basic origami module, which we will use to fold our dog.

In this scheme, fold all the sheets into triangular modules. After this, you can proceed to the next step.

1. To make the dog's hind legs, we take two large modules and one medium one. Double corners of large insert into the slots of the middle and fix.
2. Get the back of the dog's torso. We put it in another large module, located so that the double ends are at the bottom. They will become the front paws of our dog.
3. We still have two middle modules. They will become head and neck. At one module, we cut the corner roundly so that the muzzle of the dog is not so sharp. The resulting module of the head is inserted into the second module - the module of the neck by a double angle. The double corner of the neck should be below.
4. Neck on the head with the torso we made earlier.
5. From the remaining small modules that are not used we will make a tail and ears.
6. The dog is almost ready, it remains only to draw her eyes and nose.
