Origami bow: we make bow with ribbons and butterfly bow

Often for the execution of our decorating ideas, you may need an ordinary paper bow. How to do it? There are many options, from the use of paper tapes to papier-mâché.In this article, we will learn how to make an origami bow, the folding scheme of which will be our helper.

Today, the bow, above all, is a symbol of the gift. But at the same time it is also a symbol of style that came to us from antiquity, when it was an ornament not only for women, but also for men. Also, the bow in some cultures was considered a symbol of love, the union of two people, perhaps because the ribbons, when tied, form an inverted eight - the symbol of infinity. First of all, let's make a classic bow in origami technique. Such a bow is perfect for decorating a box for a cake or candy, for a postcard. You can use one-sided colored paper or two-sided, the size of the sheet is 8 * 8 cm, but it is possible and more, of course.

1. Put the sheet with the colored side down.

2. Fold in two.

3. And again we add twice, but now it's already across.

4. Expand the sheet. It turns out that it is divided into 4 equal fragments by fold lines.

5. Now add the sheet on the diagonals. We get on the sheet also a fold in the form of the letter "X".

6. On the lines, bend the sheet as shown in the photo.

7. Bend the top corner 1 cm to yourself.

8. Turn it around again. Inside the sheet should be a small square.

9. We smooth the lines of this square and the diagonal of the sheet well.

10. Now we have to bend the box inward to get this form.

11. We get a two-layer workpiece.

12. Upper sides bend towards you.

13. Turn the workpiece on the opposite side, repeat the action.

14. Turn the inside out, carefully cut the paper along the lines in the photo. These are ribbons of a bow.

15. Carefully unfold, we get such a workpiece.

16. After that, bend the upper part of the tape to yourself, bend the sidewalls as in the photo. We do this from two sides.

17. We cut the tail of the bow along the center line, bend the edges.

18. We turn the bow to the front side.

19. The tips of the ears of the bow are bent to the center, we put it into the square.

20. Ribbons can be trimmed, and can be left in this form.

Bow tie

A bow tie in origami technique is made up of a rectangular sheet of paper. In the video, a strip of 21.5 * 9 cm is used. If a longer strip of the same width is used for work, the butterfly's "ears" will be longer. If the proportion is suitable, but you need to make a bow more or less, then you need to change both the length and the width the same. In addition, experiment with different rectangular sheets of paper, there are no conditions regarding the dimensions.

To make the butterfly bow come out smooth and neat, you need to make sure that all the elements are stacked symmetrically. The stage of the fold of the middle line is very important, to which the edges and lines of the workpiece are then bent. Similarly, the transverse fold: when all triangles were folded inside, we check all external angles so that they do not warp in relation to each other.
