Kinusayga: master class for beginners, patchwork schemes without needles
Kinusayga: master class with a chart for beginners
We first discuss this eastern technique on the pages of our site. Kinusayga - what is it? This art appeared in Japan. This technique combines the painstakingness and beauty of the stories.
You can call this technique Japanese painting, because it is very similar to painted paintings, however, instead of colors, pieces of cloth are used. This is a picture of pieces of fabric, but the fabric is not sewn, but is attached in a special way. This technique was created by Professor Maeno Takashi of the famous Japanese university.
In the technique of kinusayga you can do not only pictures, but also three-dimensional toys and dolls. Such dolls are called kimekomi-ningyo.
So, let's analyze it with the example of a panel.
Panel in the technique kinusayga
So, the technique of kinusayga, a master class for the production of panels begins right now.
What is needed
- Polyfoam;
- Fabric;
- Thin foam rubber;
- Adhesive;
- Scissors.
Description of work
Attach the desired pattern - a template to the foam and apply a needle on it with all the lines of the template.
Cut the pattern lines with a knife until the middle of the foam thickness.
Using paper templates, you need to cut the workpieces from the fabric, leaving the allowances of 1 cm.
Glue the necessary part of the foam application, apply a fabric blank and gently fill the edges of the fabric in the slits. It is good to smooth the fabric so that there are no wrinkles and bubbles.
Repeat the same with the rest of the drawing.
Glue the fabric for the frame first from the back of the picture, as in the photo.
Turn over the frame and, having smeared the foam with glue, refill the fabric, cutting off the corners.
Add small details and make a loop. The picture is ready.
Sunflowers
Crafts in the kinusage technique can be done without using a needle. The next master class will show how to make sunflowers in the technique of kinescig patchwork without needles.
What is needed
- Thin foam;
- Frame for photo;
- Scissors;
- Stationery knife;
- Picture;
- Fabric of the right colors.
Description of the work
In the technique of the kinusage scheme, flowers will not be needed, since the diagram is a picture that you liked.
Remove the cardboard from the frame and spread it with glue. To paste the foam on the cardboard, cut off any excess and put it for 2 hours under the press.
Stick the picture onto the foam with a pencil. Wait another 30 minutes.
After drying, cut each line with a knife. Now you can start working with the cloth.
It's better to start with large parts and be sure from the middle of the picture. Take a suitable fabric, attach and cut off excess, leaving 2 mm at the edges.
Cover all edges neatly between the foam.
After filling the edges, it's left to be inserted into the frame.
Technique for creating
First you need to draw a project on paper or translate from your favorite drawing. You can just take a picture of the coloring. Now this picture needs to be transferred to a tree. Cut a groove 2 mm deep in the tree.
Enumerate the fragments of the picture on both the tree and on paper. Cut each piece from the fabric with a 1 mm margin around the edges.
Stick each piece in its place, filling the allowances in the grooves. This is very painstaking work, so to create a picture in the technique of kinusayga, as Japanese masters do it, it is unlikely to work. But there is a way of creating pictures, based on the principle of the kinusage technique. This is a patchwork technique, in which a foam is used instead of wood, on which a picture is cut out, and a patchwork mosaic is assembled with the help of tissue.
