Origami Star of Paper: Schemes and Video Tutorials
Origami: the star of happiness, the starfish, the throwing shuriken
The star is one of the decorative elements that will be appropriate to look in the form of decorating any holiday. Of course, you can decorate the house with ready-made stars, and you can do it yourself, for your own taste, for example, in the origami technique, a paper star will delight the eyes of you and your loved ones, guests, and if you put your soul into it, it will certainly bring happiness to the house.
Asterisk of happiness
There are many different variations of the origami stars: Bethlehem, five, seven, eight-pointed, shuriken and starfish, but in modular technology the origami of happiness star stands a little apart - they are made up of ribbons and in large numbers.
You can use special paper to do this, or you can simply cut old glossy magazines onto 29 * 1.1 cm tapes. If you make them wider, then the length in this case will have to be increased. To do this, you can use a shredder, if it is at your fingertips, if not - it is convenient to cut with a knife-edge knife under the ruler.
Stars are stacked like this:
1. Take a strip of paper, turn into a loop.
2. Turn the short end, creating a nodule.
3. Gently tighten and press the knot. We get an equilateral pentagon.
4. We wrap the tail of the tape in the opposite direction. Especially for clarity in the photo, it's made a little longer, but it's better to try to make it shorter so that it does not stick out of the star.
5. Turn the workpiece.
6. The tail, if it sticks out, we turn.
7. Inverted tip is hidden inside.
8-17.Begin to wrap the pentagon with a ribbon around. A minimum of 10 turns must be made.
18. Hide the tip of the ribbon under the strip.
19. We hold the workpiece with one hand, with the nail another press on the face of the pentagon clearly in the middle. We do this with all parties.
20. The star is ready!
Shuriken

Here is the scheme of the origami star - shurikena from the paper:
Starfish
A voluminous starfish can turn out both in the classical origami technique and in the modular technique. In this video tutorial we will learn how to collect a starfish in a modular way.
We need 205 orange and 50 purple modules for the star. It is not necessary to use these colors, you can choose any others to your taste.
- Getting started, collecting the first two rows of 10 orange triangles, that is, in each row there will be five modules. Tentacles in our star will also be five.
- The third row consists of 10 modules, the 4th row consists of 20 modules, the fourth row has four for each tentacle.
- Beginning with the next row, all orange modules will be shipped with the short side up.
- For the fifth row we use 25 orange modules. Modules 4 and 5 are put on separate petals, we begin to collect the tentacles separately.
- The sixth row is collected from 20 orange and 5 purple modules. Violet put on a short side down every fifth in a row.
- Tentacle pattern of the seventh row: orange module, then purple, then 2 orange, again purple, orange.
- For the tentacle of the eighth row: two orange modules, a purple module, two orange ones.
